This week’s question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from an individual who wishes to remain anonymous.
Question:
I am a spiritual and creative life coach. What would it take for me to find clients and enroll them in hiring me? I still think I want to be a coach but my motivation has been very low lately; truly I feel I need a more effective networking approach or appealing website or better marketing techniques.
Answer:
Great question!
Let’s address question number one first:
What would it take for you to find clients and enroll them in hiring you?
Websites don’t enroll clients and networking doesn’t enroll clients. The ONLY thing that enrolls clients is YOU.
It would take a conversation and a question. It’s that SIMPLE!
Let me explain.
In order to enroll someone into your program you have to be confident in your ability to help your prospect, find out exactly what they need, effectively paint a picture of how their life will be different after working with you, and then ask for the sale.
Unfortunately, with many entrepreneurs, here’s what happens instead:
They are uncomfortable talking to others about what they do and then asking to be paid for what they do. So they look to outside sources for the cause of the lack of growth of their business. And they say:
“Well, if I could just find the right people my business would be busy.”
AND
“If I had a better website, people would enroll with me.”
OR
“If I were a better networker, my business would be bustling.”
And you know what?
It’s all excuses and distractions to keep them from having that sales conversation.
They will tell me that they don’t have anyone they could sell their services to.
That would be a lie.
Universal Law states that if you have a desire, the way to fulfill that desire is also present.
The truth is the truth.
They have people that they could pick up the phone and call right now. They could speak to the person behind them in the grocery line. They could talk to their friends and ask for referrals.
It’s just that their fear of rejection, lack of self confidence, or their feelings of unworthiness are so strong that it’s not allowing them to even see these things as possibilities.
So you must ask yourself the following question:
Am I willing to do WHATEVER it takes to grow my business?
If the answer is yes, find a friend who you can practice having a sales conversation with. Talk to them about what you do, practice asking questions that will lead you to understand what your potential client NEEDS, and then practice asking for what your worth.
This is a classic example of how if you haven’t mastered yourself, you will not master your business. If you really want more support and awareness around this, join me in my incredible, virtual, year-long program, and begin to uncover the TRUE reason you’re stuck and struggling. Only then can you change it! www.myyeartobreakfree.com

How do I know if I am qualified enough to offer myself as a coach?
Are courses necessary? How to find out who is improvising as a teaching coach ?
Is there a standard of what is to be taught?
Thanks,
Thank you for your question Alice. While there are many coaching courses out there that are really good, I think the important question to ask yourself is, do you have expertise in something and can you coach someone who wants to learn what you know? Some of the best coaches I know didn’t take a course on how to be coach, but they did master what they coach people on. I would encourage you to click the following link and schedule a time to speak with my lead coach, Stephanie Tuss. Give her some information on what you are wanting to do and I am sure she can provide you some direction that will assist you on your journey. Am I willing to do WHATEVER it takes to grow my business? This is one of the most important questions a person can ask themselves. To often people are willing to do things necessary to have the life style they want to have. Success has a price. The person who wants to have success must be willing to pay it.
Thanks for the comment Clarence. Sometimes individuals believe that success is something that just happens, whether it be through thought or intention. The reality is that ACTION is required in order to bring that intention into manifestation. Success is expected of you, but you must look at every opportunity before you and move forward towards growth. It has worked for me and those I coach…and it will work for you! It is certainly about willingness.
