Pursue your dreams

You’ve had many dreams that were well within your reach. Even now, most of what you want can be yours.

But in order to get what you want you have to pursue it. Dreams begin to crystallize into reality when they are pursued.

Your dream takes form and starts to move in your direction.

Picture this: you’re taking action, your hands are outstretched, and the thing you want most in the world is also reaching for you.

Wishing Is Not Enough

That beautiful reality can be yours if you pursue it.

Many people confuse wishing with pursuing. Wanting and wishing are mental states. They play a role in your quantum leap, but they’re essentially passive.

You can’t remain passive and make a quantum leap. You must move on the dream.

Extend yourself toward what you want. Become a dynamic partner with the Universe. Create your dream together.

Be Willing to Make Mistakes

Don’t be afraid to make a mistake or even fail.

In order to make a quantum leap, you have to leave the cover of safety that you feel when you merely wish for something. Only then will you discover what you’re truly capable of accomplishing.

You know there is greatness within you. Be willing to let it emerge. Be willing to experiment and make a mistake.

And then reframe the concept.

Think of problems, pain, or slippage in performance as positive signs. A performance lag ordinarily occurs at the outset when you’re making a quantum leap. It’s the pause while you poise for the jump. It’s the temporary loss of momentum that occurs while shifting gears.

Also, when you break out of the habit patterns that represent the status quo, you destabilize yourself. You create some inner chaos. Be prepared for confusion or anxiety.

Be prepared, but also realize that your passion provides protection against the harm that those states can cause.

Passion fires the soul and fills the spirit, energizing your heart and mind. If you experience doubt, criticism or failure, reconnect with your passion and you will go on, unscathed.

Pursue What You Want the Most

For you to have such a powerful passion, obviously, you must choose something worth caring that much about. Your dream must be remarkable, special and precious enough to light a fire in your heart. It must consume you.

If your dream doesn’t inspire those intense feelings, then loosen the limits on your thinking.

Give yourself permission to pursue what you want the most.

Set your sights far above the reasonable target.

Above all, a quantum leap is an act of love. Let your deepest desire rise to the surface, take charge of your body and direct your aim.

Let me say that again: let your deepest desire arise and direct your aim.

You Are Ready

If you have such a magnificent obsession, you are ready.

Don’t get bogged down by “getting prepared.” As I’ve said before, whatever you need will come to you as you go.

Your strategy will evolve naturally. You will discover that you know more than you realized. You will learn to trust your instincts.

Remember, a quantum leap is a move that is yours for the taking right now. It’s a giant step that involves the resources that are available to you right now.

Think about that.

What is your deepest desire? What do you want more than anything else?

If you don’t know what that is, spend the time to let it emerge. Without censoring, without judging, write down everything you want. Just let it all come out.

Your magnificent obsession is there on the page. You’re looking at it. Let yourself own it. Let it be yours.

Now, what is the action that you are called to make toward that dream? One action. Your first giant step. The action that will catalyze your dream into reality. What is it?

Will you take that action?

Will you take it now?
