Decision Making Stages

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

Does making a decision start with saying, “I'm making a decision,” or is it just a switch that you flip, and you just do it?

Neagle Code Answer

If a person is very solid in the decision-making process, they don't necessarily say, “I'm making a conscious decision to do this.” They know that they're doing it.

They're in a stage past the idea of not making a decision. When they see that a change needs to happen, they immediately see it, and they make that change.

To answer your question you must first identify what stage of decision making are you in?

Some of the stages of decision making include:

1.) Identifying you have a problem that needs to be changed or having a goal you want to accomplish.

2.) Next, you may do research and gather all the information you may need to make your decision. You then may weigh your options and evaluate the pros and cons of your potential decision.

And

3.) Finally, you make your choice, your decision and act on it.

Remember, some people may easily go through these stages without realizing they are checking off stage 1, 2, 3 etc. It happens naturally. As you said, they just “flip the switch”.

For others, it is more of a conscious process, and they may say “I’m making a decision…”.

When you make a change in your life, you did make a decision, because you switched from one thing to another.

That's a decision.

Don’t drag them around

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Are there certain types of people that just wouldn't make good coaching clients? And if so, how do you spot them?

Thanks, David! xoxo

Neagle Code Answer

Hi, and thanks for your GREAT question!

You know, I’ve been saying for years that people have the right to be as happy as they want to be or as miserable as they want to be.

A rule that I live by is if you have to drag someone into a program, you’ll have to drag them around. That’s not enjoyable for either party.

All this being said, there are some red flags to alert you that a prospect may not be a good fit for coaching.

1) Have they demonstrated a willingness to change? (You want a yes here.) In your conversation you should be able to identify their sense of urgency or their reason for wanting to change, and you should be looking for things they have already started doing to begin to change.

2) Do they take responsibility for their life and circumstances? (You want a yes here.) Generally, someone who does not take responsibility for everything in their life is not coachable, and if you take them on as a client, you’ll be the next person blamed for their situation.

Always remember, that you’re looking for people who WANT to change…not for people who find significance in drama and despair.

What to do when success strains family relationships

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Mariarosa G.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!

I am the daughter of a family who was raised VERY poor, and their expectations have always been to make something of myself and to be successful, but I’m now at the top of the income level of anyone in my family and I’m finding myself in an uncomfortable place. I’ve hit a ceiling, and I think it’s because I’m worried I won’t fit in with my family anymore or I won’t “be like them” anymore.

How should I think about this so I can break through this income barrier?

Thanks!

Neagle Code Answer

Hi, and thanks for your question!

The first thing you need to understand is that when you exceed the income level of anyone in your family, you may not fit in anymore.

You may not relate on the same level anymore either.

Things that are important to you may not be important to them and vice versa.

And sometimes they will judge you for your success.

But if you don’t move forward,
you’re living a life so they won’t feel uncomfortable.

Recognize that at some level your parents gave you a double binding message.

One was to be successful.

The other was don’t stray too far.

The fastest way to move through this income barrier is to realize that your relationships may change.

This doesn’t mean that you love them any less…
it just means that it’s time to change.

Accept that change, and begin surrounding yourself with other people who WILL support you and who are also several steps ahead of you as you strive to hit your goals.

After all, you get ONE life…who are you going to live it for?

How to step past fear into greatness

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions
for Life”
comes from Mike.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!

How do you “be” the person you desire when your whole life has been filled with fear? Where do you get the strength and courage to step out of your paradigm?

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Mike. Thanks for the question!

The first thing to realize is that everything comes from within you. As children, we are taught to look outward for validation of what the world is like. But the truth is that all experiences come from inside of you.

You get to decide who you want to be and what you want your reality to be. It is not determined by anyone else but you.

But, your reality won’t change until you start making new decisions.

See your current situation as a place to work from. Even if you aren’t currently the person that you need to be to go where you want to go, you can choose to be that person now.

What kind of person has what you want?

What are their characteristics?

Once you have that list, make a decision to start adopting those qualities as your own and be that person all the time.

Your desire to change has to be stronger than the fear you are feeling.

Fear is an illusion; a result of false programming that formed your current reality.

Once you believe more in the Truth than you do your own story, change will be automatic.

[Fast Cash Formula Series] Article #7 ~ What Is Your “Why?”

In the last article, I asked you to identify why you have the particular bills that you do.

Today, I'm asking about a different why.

Why do you want to change? What is your motivation for up-leveling your life and business?

I ask you that because in order to keep moving forward despite any difficulties or fear, you must have a compelling reason.

You must become aware of a strong motivation within you to make a positive change, and then keep that “why” front and center.

Otherwise, if you don’t have that strong motivation, you might just give up on your dream.

My “Why”

Before I made my first breakthrough, I was living next door to a drug dealer. It was a very unsafe environment for my family, and I had to get us all out of there.

I had debt, bills, problems and pain, and I didn't want that to be my legacy to my family. I also was being exposed to success principles, and I didn't want to go to my grave without finding out if they were as powerful as they seemed.

Your Why?

What is your strong motivation to change?

Do you long to leave a worthy legacy for your children and others? Do you feel a calling you have to fulfill? Are you trying to get away from a toxic environment?

I know an author who worked 10 years on a book about an ancestor. Her “why” was, “If not me, then who?” If she didn't vindicate her ancestor, probably no one ever would.

The truth is, that statement is relevant for everyone. If you don't do what you're called to do, no one else will. Like Martha Graham said, if you block the life force that wants to come through you, it will never exist.

And if you don't connect with a deep motivation for expressing that life force, you may give up when the path becomes difficult or your subconscious creates chaos around you.

Don't let that happen. Look within and ask yourself: “Why do I want to better my life?”

Keep It Prominent

Once you know your “why,” think about it often.

Amplify it, extoll it, honor it in the ways that make sense to you. Make a video or audio recording where you talk about it in full, and then listen to it every week. Regularly engage in fantasy where you see your “why” play out. Make a visual representation of it, such as by putting up pictures in your office of your children or grandchildren.

Whatever you choose, keep your why front and center. That way, when you're experiencing difficulty or you have to do something challenging, it will pop immediately to mind.

For instance, early on when I encountered resistance to making sales calls, the ugly mug of my drug-dealer neighbor would appear in my mind's eye. You can bet, I immediately picked up that phone!

What could elicit the same response from you?

What is the “why” that will keep you barreling toward your goal?

Got it? Leave a comment below to share YOUR “why” with me. Perhaps together we’ll inspire others to do the same.

[Goal Setting Series]Article #10 ~ Everything You Need to Manifest Your Goal

Over the past several months, I've shown you how to set goals that utilize the power of the Universe. In this final article of the series, I'm giving you all of the main steps again to get you started on changing your life.

Here are those 10 crucial steps:

1. Remove Time from the Equation

To move past the human barriers that prevent you from having what you truly desire, you must first remove any timeframes from your goal.

Timeframes on a goal are usually based on what people think is possible. You may not know how your goal could manifest quickly, but the Universe might.

Let the Universe set the timing ~ and then you may be amazed by how quickly your goal manifests.

2. Go Beyond What You Think You Can Do

Again, most people set goals based upon what they think they can accomplish ~ not on what they truly desire or what they're actually capable of doing.

To begin to tap your limitless potential, let yourself fantasize.

Fantasy literally changes your brain's frequency, making it more receptive to ideas, desire and purpose from your soul.

It's truly the best way to discover what you really want. And it's crucial for receiving that prosperous idea that can take you light years from where you are today.

3. Receive Your Million-Dollar Idea

If you already experience the power of fantasizing, go to the place or do the thing that works for you.

If you don't know what that is, find a place that's beautiful and calming. Get comfortable and let your eyes rest. Don't “try” to fantasize, just relax and let your mind be free.

As images or feelings start to arise, ask yourself what you want, and then write down whatever comes to mind.

If this process doesn't work for you, try “catching” yourself fantasizing ~ in the shower is a likely place ~ and record what you see, hear or feel.

4. Are You Able and Willing?

To turn your fantasy into reality, you have to be able to say yes to these two questions:

“Am I able?” You've gone beyond what you thought you could do. Now, you need to muster the faith to believe in your ability to manifest your million-dollar idea. Do you feel excited? That's your gut saying YES, you're able.

“Am I willing?” Are you willing to do what must be done to manifest your goal? For example, move if necessary, invest financially in yourself, commit to living a new life?

5. Create an Environment to Support Your Goal

Once you declare that you are able and willing, it's vital that your environment begins to reflect your aspiration back to you on a daily basis.

To accomplish that, make two lists. The first is of the things, people and ideas that are not in harmony with your goal and should be removed from your life. The second is of those things that must come into your life to support your goal.

Once you make the lists, start acting on them immediately.

6. Make a Binding Commitment

Now it's time to commit yourself to your goal. In the present tense, write out your goal and sign and date the page. For example: “I commit to having a $10 million-dollar-a-year business.”

Remember, don't include any timeframes.

Then, make a goal card to carry with you and read several times a day to remind you that, according to Universal Law, your goal is already here.

On another piece of paper or index card, write: “I'm so happy and grateful now that ___________,” and write in your goal.

7. Get Attached

To start moving your idea from the nonphysical to the physical, you need to become emotionally involved in it.

Emotions are like the engines behind our thoughts. They give energy to your goal, sending it through time and space, prompting the Universe to start bringing you what you need to manifest it.

8. Raise Your Awareness

When you raise your awareness to the level of your goal, what you want shows up. It's yours.

To raise your level of awareness, you first have to know your current awareness and results.

Your current awareness is the closest you've ever come to your goal. If you have a money goal, it would be the most money you, alone, have ever earned in a year.

Your current results would be what you are earning this year.

Once you know those two figures, you know where you are, and all you have to do is make a firm decision to go to the next level of awareness, and then expect the opportunity to do that to show up.

9. Change, Adapt, Grow

Picture yourself at the bottom of a staircase with your goal at the top. The Universe has heard that you are ready and will meet you on the first stair with your opportunity.

Step up and into it. Make the change, adapt to the change and grow into that bigger version of yourself.

Then the Universe will meet you on the second stair with another opportunity that requires you to change, adapt and grow still larger than before.

You follow this same process all the way to your goal.

10. Cut Through the Chaos

Now, your subconscious will resist all this change and growth, and you may experience some chaos as the universe rearranges your life so that you can reach your goal.

Just remember that the upheaval is temporary while your goal is the ultimate prize.

To cut through the chaos, stay connected to the higher side of yourself. Follow the Seven Secrets of Multimillionaire Entrepreneurs: desire, decision, belief and faith in a higher power, love, responsibility, will and action.

They will deliver you to your goal.

Get Started

There is no limit to what you can achieve or be.

If you do each of these steps with unwavering commitment, you truly can have anything you desire.

You can create absolutely magnificent and astonishing things.

Can I buy you a drink?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Miranda.

Question:

Hi David! Thanks so much for the opportunity to ask this question! I recently heard a teaching you did on the importance of environment, but I'm having a hard time understanding how my environment affects my business results. Can you explain this please?

Answer:

Absolutely.

As a person grows, they change.

And they change in a way that is not always supported by their physical environment.

This is why we'll see people who will come to a workshop and make huge strides in their personal growth, only to return home and go right back into their old patterns.

Let me make this even more simple.

If you were an alcoholic, and you had stopped drinking, would you continue to return to the bar every day?

You'd get out of the bar and stay out because the being in the bar wouldn't be supporting your success.

You may even seek out other people who have stopped drinking as well so that you'll have the support you need.

Imagine how much more successful you'd be if you would surround yourself with people and things that supported you rather than trying to pull you back into being who you once were.

Look around you.

Are you surrounding yourself with beautiful things that represent who you want be?

Do your relationships support your growth or do they stifle it?

If you answered no to either of those questions, you've got some work to do.

Even the smallest of changes in your environment will make a difference in your success.
