What are you in business for?

On a Business 101 course study guide, you may see something like this:

Please define the following and explain the relationship between the two:

BUSINESS – Business is the process of trading a product or service for money to gain a profit.
PROFIT – the monetary surplus left to a producer or employer after deducting wages, rent, cost of raw materials, etc.

“Profit” is among the most favored words in the world of business because without profit you are creating a deficit, which will eventually bring your business down.  Over time, NO PROFIT = NO BUSINESS.

I would guess you already understand this basic concept, or do you only think you understand it?

I see business men and women frequently NOT making a profit for various reasons.
Let’s look at the causes of such hardship:

Culprit #1: Money hang-ups.
Do you have hang-ups with earning money and selling your product or service at a profitable price?  WHY?   One reason is that you have been conditioned by the work force to do a lot and expect a little.  This mindset followed you into your business.

Culprit #2: Being in business for the wrong reasons.
Many people (like coaches, speakers and teachers) often go into business for subconscious reasons unknown to them.  They THINK they want to help others and are usually pretty firm in their conviction, but really they are attempting to heal something within their own self.
When this is the case, they forfeit sales and profit in order to get appreciation and recognition.

WARNING: I realize this may cause people to become defensive. If you are feeling that way right now you might want to take a closer look at what your real motive is for your business.

Although it’s nice to have, if you REALLY want to help people with your business,  appreciation and recognition doesn’t matter much because you understand that what you have to offer will help somebody else.  Isn’t it always the consumers responsibility to use or implement your product or service?

On the other hand, “If you are NOT selling you are healing.”  If you want to earn the amount of money you truly deserve, you are going to have to get past whatever needs to heal and move forward in your life and business.  It is easier to earn a million in business today than any other time in history!  The systems and teaching that have been developed by those who have gone before you are readily available for anyone to learn.  So the real question is, why haven’t you done it yet?

BECAUSE YOU ARE HOLDING ON TO BELIEFS THAT CONTRADICT SUCCESS!

Belief = Perception=Reality

The reality for most people is there isn’t enough money, time and resources for them to get what they want.  If you relate, the idea is based on beliefs that aren’t serving you.  Once you change those beliefs you AUTOMATICALLY change your perception.  You begin to see things that were always there but that you never saw before.  You will create a new reality.   You see, the truth is poverty is a perceived truth (i.e. A LIE), but when you believe the lie you manifest it in your life.

One of the best ways to begin to change is to surround yourself with prosperous people.  The more you are around the them, the more your model for the world begins to change.  I will be taking a group of people through this process at my Winter 2009 “Experience the Reality of Success Seminar.”  You see, one of the fastest ways to change a belief is to create a new reality.   When I show others how to manifest money and success RIGHT IN THE SEMINAR, it changes their reality because they are experiencing something new.  They will also uncover what has been holding them back and change will come easy.

“Experience” is your KEYWORD because until you actually do it, it’s all just a pretty story.  So be on the lookout for my big launch of the next ERS seminar that is coming very soon!
