[Goal Setting Series]Article #4 ~ How To Turn Your Fantasy Into Reality

If you’ve been putting the information in this goal-setting series into practice, you now have a gift from the Universe: a prosperous idea that you received while fantasizing.

This idea represents something you want for your business or relationship, or it’s something you’d like to do. It would make an enormous difference in your life.

Now, the question is, how do you turn your fantasy into reality?

The first step is to answer the following two questions honestly.

1.  “Am I able?”

Do you believe that you are able to manifest your desire?

I asked you to receive ideas through fantasizing because I wanted you to open your mind to possibility, to receive ideas you might never have considered.

In order to manifest your idea, however, you have to muster the faith to believe in it.

For instance, let’s say you have a $1 million business and you want to expand to $3 million this year.

That’s a stretch, and the idea scares you, but you also feel deeply excited. You really feel in your gut that you can do it.

If, on the other hand, you don’t feel able, don’t beat yourself up. I say all the time that you have to start where you are. Fantasize again and ask for something that you can believe in.

Just keep your original vision too. You might be ready for it sooner than you think!

2. “Am I willing?”

When you can say that you are able to manifest your idea, you then want to ask yourself if you are willing to do what must be done to make it a reality.

For example, are you willing to:

Change what must be changed?

Financially invest in yourself?

Get coaching and direction when required?

Let go of self-limiting stories?

Study, read and attend seminars?

Mastermind with like-minded people?

Release your past?

Continue when met with failure?

Refuse to be a victim?

Possibly face ridicule, humiliation and rejection?

Commit to living a new life?

Move if necessary?

The list can go on and on, and you won’t know all of the things that need to change before you make the decision to pursue your fantasy.

In fact, you have to make the decision first.

This is difficult, I know, but the Universe won’t show you what you need to do until you make the decision to step into your vision.

Once you say that you are willing, the Universe will show you exactly what needs to shift. It will show up in your life as a problem or an issue, as something that obviously needs to change.

The only thing you need to do now is commit to being willing to do whatever “it” is.

Yes, that’s a huge leap of faith.

However, whatever you’ll be asked to change is the thing that’s been holding you back. So there’s really nothing to lose and everything to gain.

If you can jump off that diving board and say, “I AM ABLE, AND I AM WILLING,” you’ve made a decision.

And your fantasy is one step closer to reality.

I’ll show you that all-important second step next time.

  2. Hello David,

I resonate with this content more than ever. However, right now I am very confused, because I have been trying to create a consistent $ 10,000 a month in my business, however, I am stuck with roller coaster income, and its frustrating because I am willing to do whatever it takes.

I have made a lot of sacrifices along the way. I moved out of my expensive apartment to move in with my boyfriend, I read a lot, I invested in numerous business coaches, I have attended seminars, including yours, invested in courses to improve my skill set ( copywriting), released feeling sorry for myself, I am very tenacious and continue to strive and try to make my business work even when I feel like giving up, get rid of negative people in my life. In a nutshell, I feel like I have done and I am doing whatever it takes to grow my business, and I am still stuck with roller coaster income and I am not sure why. Any insight will be helpful. 🙂

    • Thanks for the comment Nina. My question to you is, why do you feel the need to sacrifice anything? The disconnect for me is when you say, “I moved out of my expensive apartment to move in with my boyfriend…” What bearing does that have on your income? To me that sounds like an environmental change that could be a detriment to your growth, mainly because you put the word ‘expensive’ in front of it. Also, you can attend seminars and learn all this information on an intellectual level, but until you embody it fully it will not integrate. If you feel like you have done everything then the results should reflect that. Since they do not, you have not. Dig deeper to find you answer. It’s in there…

  3. Hello David,

Thanks for the response. I will dig deeper and see if I can find the answer. Maybe sacrifice wasn’t the right word, I feel like I am committed to do whatever it takes. I listen to a lot of “:gurus”: that say if you REALLY want something you can make it happen. So, I thought downsizing and moving out of my apartment to a more affordable living situation would allow me to invest in myself and my business. However, I will keep digging, because I know the skill set I don’t lack, it’s more of a mental feeling of probably not feeling good enough that I thought I released fully. However, I must have not because my results are not where they used to be but far from where I want them to be. 🙂
