Solid as a rock

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from an individual who wishes to remain anonymous.

Question:

How do you get to frame your mind to be solid like a rock?

Answer:

Hi and thanks for the question!

There are two key factors in creating a rock solid mindset.

One is understanding, and the other is experience.

Allow me to explain.

I am an avid student. One of the really great things my mentor taught me a long time ago was how to study, and to this day I never travel anywhere without my books.

I'm constantly holding my thoughts up to the light of the truth that is found in those books.

In this way, I can consciously understand what's happening around me.

This is step one of a solid mindset. Study.

The second step is to give yourself a different experience, because you see, deep in your subconscious.experience creates understanding

If you don't give your self a different experience, your new understanding doesn't become part of who you are being.

Let me give you an example.

Sue is reading about abundance, and she learns that her environment is incredibly important in manifesting her desires. She consciously understands the concepts, and it makes complete sense to her.

She looks around her office and notices that she really needs some organizers and that flowers would really make a difference.

The next time she's at the store, she sees the most beautiful bouquet of flowers and it stops her.

She really wants the flowers, but doesn't like the price tag, and even though she feels different energetically around the flowers, she decides to pass them by because she believes they are too expensive.

Sue has a conscious understanding of the Laws, but she's not putting those laws into practice, therefore her understanding has not become part of who she is being, and her mindset is not rock solid.

She desperately wants an abundant life, and yet, she makes her decisions based in lack.

Have faith in the Laws and put them into practice in every area of your life.

It's the only way to create a rock solid mindset.

    • For sure Simone. Nothing can stop you but yourself, which with experience is highly unlikely because you simply won’t allow that thought to enter in. I appreciate the post.

  1. This was powerful for me, David. Thank you. With using your two key factors, Understanding and Experience, I see my Decision Making process evolving to a much higher level. This is just what I need. Thanks again.

    • You’re welcome Jane. I’d love to hear exactly what shifted with just those two simple keys. Appreciate you sharing.

  2. Wow, that struck a chord, especially the Sue story. I usually do that, this week was the first time that I went back and bought what I wanted (the ornament that I fell in love with). I am so glad I did, it lifts me and makes me smile every day when I see it. Maybe I’m finally getting it?!

    • You also sent the message Elly that you will no longer sacrifice for something of a lesser nature and base you decision from a lack perspective. It’s all about getting what you want, when you want it. My question is, what are you going to do next? I appreciate your post.

  3. Hi David,
What is Sue supposed to do if she can’t actually afford the flowers? I find myself in this position often. Even if I have the money at the time, I can’t spend it because I have to pay my bills.
    Thanks,
    Winny.

    • Since Sue wants the flowers, and knows how they make her feel, then she should absolutely get them. Winny, the desire would not be there if the opportunity to satisfy that desire was not there as well. Who is to say that in buying those flowers she won’t close a deal to satisfy not only the cost of those environmental shifters, but the next three months rent as well? The Universe works, all the time, and you have to be mindful of the decisions you are making. If they are done out of lack, then you will get more lack. Make decisions based on abundance, and you will get abundance. But you must be committed to it!

      • Hi David. How do you see that this could apply for example to a person on welfare, who will not be able to make a deal or get new clients to compensate them for, for example, buying expensive flowers, because they are unemployed and therefore won’t get any deals or clients?

Also, what if the person really, physically does not have the money to buy those flowers? I am on unemployment, and at the end of the month the bank account is literally at 0, and the wallet is empty. I have no savings and no credit cards, so there is literally nothing to draw upon if at that moment I wanted flowers.

  4. When you know what you really want, you develop a tunnel vision.
All you can see is possibilities. As a result, rock solid mindset forms itself naturally.

Dear DAVID, I think the better question to ask would be:

HOW TO FIND OUT WHAT DO I REALLY WANT?

Not what my parents want me to be, do and to have. Not what my limiting mind is telling me.

HOW TO GIVE YOURSELF A HONEST & CLEAR ANSWER?

While abundance of resources and exquisite clutter seems to be life essentials for me, I recognize that these are just tools… I crave a creative self-expression but I absolutely require financial freedom. My mother told me that I MISSED the window of opportunity for my creative self-expression and that I should focus on getting a billionaire husband. While I NEED comfort and security, going after money alone is not inspiring enough for me. It feels like emotional suicide. What do I do, David? Thank you. From Russia with Love.

    • The key to uncovering what you really want is found in your secret thoughts Beau. The truth is, deep down you KNOW what you really want, it’s just been silenced for a long time. Give yourself a chance to dream, to fantasize and listen to that little voice inside your head that you don’t tell anyone about. It will lead you to where you want to go.

      • Thank you, David. I read your guest post about Secret Thoughts, but I wish you could do another article more in detail about them, how to hear them, what to do with them when we uncover them, what to do with nay-sayers who try to sabotage our fantasy. When I was little people used to laugh at and ridicule my Secret Thoughts all the time, my parents, my teachers, the kids at school, everyone. It is very very very hard to believe in these Secret Thoughts when all your life people have laughed at them and put them (and YOU) down.

    • “… going after money alone is not inspiring enough for me.”

My question would be, Beau, if you had the money, tomorrow morning when you woke up, like magic – what would be the first thing you’d do?

Amd what would your long-term goals be, even think as far ahead as 200 years time – what would you like your legacy to be?

But don’t focus on the current numbers on your bank statement, stay focused on “If I had XYZ hundred million rubles, plus bank accounts crammed with dollars, euro, pound sterling, what would I do differently today?”

Money is a tool, what would you build with it? You might surprise yourself with the answers, you might surprise yourself even more when you find you can start doing at least some of those amazing things today, no matter what the figures on your bank statement say!

You’re doing 2 things there – setting your dreams free of limitations, and bringing yourself into harmony with the life you would, will, and can have when money is no longer a stumbling block between you and any good thing you desire.

  5. I wince when I read this post because I see how I box myself in while I live in abundance. It’s a bad habit I have lived all my life.

Thank you for reminding me to choose abundance over lack. It’s a new preference for me, even tho I have heard this idea before. This week I am holding an event. I could choose a cheap venue to save money. You have solidified my decision to hold it at a proper hotel so that the energy of abundance is present. Thanks.
