Is debt getting you down?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I really, really desire a new car. But I also have credit card debt that I need to pay off. I hear your voice in my head telling me to act on my desire, but I also have a voice in my head telling me to pay off my debt FIRST. Am I thinking about this inaccurately?

Neagle Code Answer

Great question!

I think the real question here isn’t actually about where to spend your money; it’s a question of mindset.

You see, the lower and middle class mindset is steeped in the word “OR”.

They ask, “Should I do this OR should I do that?”

They see limitation and lack.

The wealthy think in terms of “AND”.

They ask:

“What would need to happen for me to do this AND that?”

OR

“What would I need to do differently so that I could have this AND that?”

They see possibility and abundance.

I want to encourage you to think like the wealthy.

What are you resisting doing or being that would allow you to pay off your debts AND purchase the car?

TRUTH: You wouldn’t have the desire to do both
if the opportunity to make the money wasn’t also here.

That’s the question you must ask if you wish for your financial situation to change.

Is it desire or dysfunction? How to find the proper perspective

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!

Some “experts” talk about desire negatively. They say that a person must let go of the desire because the desire controls them as long as they are attached to it. I think there is a middle ground; having a desire without being attached to it. Could you expand on this? What is the best way to keep the proper perspective? I like the idea of focus vs. goals because it feels like the attachment is reduced.

Neagle Code Answer

Hello, and thanks for this question!

I‘m not sure what experts you’re referring to in your question, but if we look to truth, we can find the answer to your question.

Desire is necessary.

It drives our purpose.

It pulls us to become who we are.

It helps us see when and where we need to make changes in our life.

And most importantly desire is a KEY ingredient in how we create the world around us.

Desire is not evil, but it can be dysfunctional if you mistake true desire for a dysfunctional need.

The test for all of us to keep ourselves in check and make sure that our desire is coming from a place of abundance and more life to all is to use the 4 Questions.

I teach the 4 Questions in ALL of my seminars and workshops and to all my clients.

They are a series of questions that help us determine if we desire something or if we are making a dysfunctional decision.

The questions apply to every decision you make and every desire you have.

Question 1: Is this something you want to be, do or have? (You should get a yes to this question)

Question 2: Is being, doing or having this going to take you closer to your goal? (You should get a yes to this question?)

Question 3: Is being, doing or having this in alignment with Universal Law (more life to all)? (You should get a yes to this question)

Question 4: Does being, doing or having this take away the rights of others or does it take away someone’s right to choose? (You should get a no to this question)

Use these questions daily to help you stay focused and on a clear path to your goals.

Remember: Desire is the unexpressed possibility within you, seeking expression outside of you.

To deny desire would be to deny your true self.

Can you show me how the Laws are always working?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

It’s clear that you have a vast understanding of Universal Law… I think I understand the basic notion, but can you give an example of one of the Laws and how people manage to fudge it up?

I get that gravity is constant and is always working to pull things toward the center of the Earth, and we work within that law by creating parachutes or railings. I can see gravity at work, but don’t think I can see the Laws at work.

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

Fantastic question!!!

I think I’ll use the Law of Perpetual Transmutation as an example in this explanation.

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation states that everything in the Universe is constantly moving from non-form to form and back to non-form again.

We often call this non-form stuff of the Universe “energy.”

It is from this formless energy that we manifest our ideas, projects, programs, businesses, books, paintings—everything that we bring into existence.

If you understand this law and work within it correctly, it follows that you can harness that formless energy and create from it whatever forms you desire.

You may have heard it stated by James Allen as, “All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts.”

That’s the exciting promise of The Law of Perpetual Transmutation.

But it’s a promise that is rarely realized to its full potential because so many of us harbor mistaken notions that get in our way.

For example, I have noticed that people who fear the Devil often discount and distrust the stirrings of Spirit within them, which come in the form of desire, especially when Spirit is saying something different from what they’ve been taught.

So if you’re a woman who’s been taught that you don’t have much value, and you feel drawn to accomplish a powerful project, you’re likely to deny your desire, calling it pride or sin.

If, on the other hand, you listen to your desire, rather than questioning or denying or second-guessing its inspiration within you, you are much more likely to follow its direction where it leads.

You can fight Spirit and defy the Law of Perpetual Transmutation, or you can collaborate with them to fulfill your purpose and manifest your wildest dreams.

Should I stay or should I go? A step-by-step approach to making the decision

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

If a person is not happy in a job choice or position does that mean the person should figure out how to change to become happy in any position, or should the person leave the job/position and find something that makes the person happy with the mindset they currently have?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi, and thanks for your question.

I really love this question, and the answer is a bit step-by-step.

First, the person needs to figure out why they are not happy in their current position.

Is it because they can’t meet their financial goals in that position? Is there a conflict with a co-worker or team member? Are the tasks associated with the position not tasks that the person finds enjoyment in?

Depending on the answer to that first question, that person must decide if they want to stay or go. Chances are if the person is not clear why they are unhappy in their position, they will attract the same situation in their next position.

Remember, every obstacle is an opportunity for growth.

If they decide to go, it’s important that they change their attitude around the job and really look at how they can do their absolute best until the next opportunity is manifested.

Some of you may remember me talking about when I first worked on the loading docks in Chicago making $20,000.00 per year. I couldn’t make the money I wanted, I was miserable, and I had a horrible attitude.

As soon as I changed my attitude and did my best in that position, I became aware of a better opportunity that had been right in front of me the entire time, and that opportunity allowed me to go from $20,000.00 per year to $60,000.00 per year doing something I enjoyed A LOT more.

Changing my attitude was the KEY factor in finding the next opportunity. I was making things so difficult for myself.

I see all sorts of business owners doing the same thing, which is why I’d like to invite you to join me for my free training titled, “Stop Making Things Hard!”. During this training I’ll go into detail about the things we do to make our goals so hard to achieve and how we can overcome this sub-conscious trap. Can I manifest money to pay off debt?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

You've mentioned the law: “If you have a strong enough desire for something, the money MUST be there.” Please say more about how this works. For instance, if I SHOULD manifest enough money to pay off debt, does this mean that I don't DESIRE it enough to manifest the money because it's more of a “should”? Or, in another case, if I really, really desire the $50,000 car I saw drive by me yesterday, am I likely to manifest the money more readily? How does a “should” versus a “desire” affect manifestation?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for this great question!

Most people aren’t excited about paying debt, but that doesn’t mean the money isn’t there. I recommend paying off your debt AND buying the car.

Your goals should allow you to accomplish ANYTHING you want, and if paying off your debt and purchasing a new car is what you want, that’s the goal you should be setting.

However, you don’t need to focus on paying all your debt at once. There’s nothing wrong with paying it off in increments. You don’t want to make paying off that debt a hardship for yourself, or you’ll come to resent it, and that opens up a new problem. Make sure you don’t sacrifice everything to pay it off.

The only flip side to your “desire and should” question has to do with shame.

If you have shame around your debt, if you’re embarrassed by it, or try to hide it, you will have a difficult time manifesting the money needed to pay it off.

Why?

Because how you do anything is how you do everything, and if you’re experiencing shame, it will prevent you from doing the things necessary to manifest the money.

So if you can’t see that debt is simply a tool and be grateful for it and truly appreciate what it’s provided to you, you may want to take a long hard look as to how you actually feel about the debt.

Once you drop the shame and negative feelings around it, you’ll be surprised how much easier it will be to manifest the money to pay it off.

Why can’t I pay off my credit card balance when I intend to?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

I have a question about paying for expenses. I hear you say that The Universe provides money based on what you need. Well I have a credit card balance of $7,000. Each month I intend to bring in the money to pay this off in full, but all The Universe brings me is the minimum payment which is due! So how do I work the laws of the universe to be able to pay the full amount? And yes, I really want to pay the full amount. I get interest fees each month on it, so that's another motivating factor for me to want to pay it all. I would love your guidance. Thanks!

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for your question!

First I think it’s important to explain how the Universe provides. You see the Universe is completely deductive in nature. This means that it cannot provide to you anything that is not impressed upon it by you.

If month after month you’re not able to pay off that credit card debt, we need to look at the Law of Cause and Effect. This Law states that for every cause there is an effect. In simple terms this means that there’s something that you are not doing that is causing you to only be able to create the minimum due.

Really examine your actions. Are you doing EVERYTHING you can to bring in the money you need even if it means working late, making extra sales calls, and sacrificing time with your friends or family?

Look at where you stop.

Be honest with yourself and ask to be shown what you are resisting doing or being in order to be able to bring in the full $7,000.00. Once you see the resistance, take action immediately.

It is through accurate action that you impress your desire on The Universe so that it can provide what you desire.

Can I focus on multiple goals and get my desired results?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Brandon N.

Neagle Code Question

I have a full-time job, have a desire to grow my virtual business and even work a part time job cleaning office spaces. Do you feel it is possible to desire multiple things at once or do we only have so much energy to give, and should we focus it to maximize desired results?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Brandon, and thanks for your question.

I think it’s first important to get an understanding of WHY you want to be doing all of these things.

What’s your motivation behind working a full-time job, growing your business and cleaning office spaces?

Are you doing all of these things because you truly love them all?

Or are your motivations due to something else?

I have a hard time believing that you’re equally passionate about all three. So get really clear and honest about why you’re doing what you’re doing.

Ask yourself if you’re taking part in these businesses because you really love them or because you feel you SHOULD, you need the money or you hope others appreciate you for your HARD WORK.

Do you have a belief that you can’t do what you love AND make money?

Are you creating distraction and chaos to keep yourself small?

You see, what you’re doing right now is chasing multiple bunnies.

You will get your best results when you can focus on ONE business and give all your energy to it.

Once you get clear on that, choose the one business you’re most passionate and inspired about and then give it your ALL. Burn the ships and don’t let anything stop you or stand in your way of achieving your goals.

The truth is that once you have a deep emotional desire for something and then EXPECT that desire to manifest, the Universe will respond. Emotion puts everything in motion, and if you’re not passionate about your business, you most likely won’t get the results you’re hoping for.

The self-limiting word you need to nix from your 2016 vocabulary

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

What's the biggest difference you see between multimillionaires and those who are not financially free?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi!

Great question!

There are so many differences between a wealth mindset and one of lack that it’s hard to pick just one.

If I were to choose one that I think has been the most impactful for my students I would say it’s this:

A wealth based mindset thinks in terms of “AND” whereas a lack mindset thinks in terms of “OR”.

Let me explain…

When a wealthy person is faced with a decision or desire, they don’t limit themselves. For example if they would like to send their children to college and purchase a boat, the thought they would have is, “I would like to send the kids to college AND purchase a boat.”

And then they go to work planning how they can make that possible.

A lack-based mindset would approach it entirely different. They would say, “I could either send my children to college OR I could purchase a boat.” This is a limiting thought.

I would suggest you watch your thoughts closely and note how many times you feel you need to make an “or” decision, and change it to an “and”.

There is no limit to what you can be, do or have, so begin to think in terms of “AND” and see what changes!

Where to find the strength to be the real YOU

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Randt.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

How do you “be” the person you desire to be when your whole life has been filled with judgment, fear and pain? Where do you get the fortitude to step out of your paradigm and re-create yourself?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for the question!

The first thing to realize is that everything comes from within you. As children, we are taught to look outward for validation of what the world is like. But the truth is that all experiences come from inside of you.

You get to decide who you want to be and what you want your reality to be. It is not determined by anyone else but you.

But, your reality won’t change until you start making new decisions.

See your current situation as a place to work from. Even if you aren’t currently the person that you need to be to go where you want to go, you can choose to be that person now.

What kind of person has what you want?

What are their characteristics?

Once you have that list, make a decision to start adopting those qualities as your own and be that person all the time.

Your desire to change has to be stronger than the fear you are feeling.

Fear is an illusion; a result of false programming that formed your current reality.

Once you believe more in the Truth than you do your own story, change will be automatic.

Are you afraid, lazy or just too comfortable?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions
for Life”
comes from Richard.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David and thanks for taking my question!

My problem is that I’m comfortable. I have deep desires to build a business that helps others, but I can’t seem to change the things I need to change or do the things I know I need to do to get myself going in the right direction. I’m not sure if it’s because of some strange fear, or if I’m just lazy.

Any insight you can provide would be extremely helpful.

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Richard!

The truth in your situation is that you just don’t want it bad enough. You are content to stay where you are, and there’s nothing really that’s creating a sense of urgency for you.

In these instances YOU have to create the sense of urgency.

Let me explain…

Until your burning desire is greater than your need for comfort, nothing will change. Growth is uncomfortable. Without the discomfort, we don’t grow. And if you’re not growing, it’s going to be nearly impossible to help someone else grow.

Ask yourself what in your life is keeping you comfortable?

• Is it a job you show up to every day?
• Is it your savings account?
• Is it your safe group of people around you?
• What specifically do you fall back on as that safety net?

In order for you to move past this, you have to identify that safety net and burn it.

Then you have to fall deeply, madly and 100% in love with this desire you have to help people.

You see, the juice of life lies beyond your comfort zone

As we grow and expand, we can then enrich the lives of others.
