Lost in my own business

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

I have my own business. After years of struggling, I’ve been able to live off my work, but never in a sustainable, recurrent way. I’m burned out. This year has been terrible. I feel like not doing anything anymore, and I’m lost. I have an email list, but they’re not very responsive.

I’m in a position where I need to bring in money… and I’m stuck. My mind keeps thinking, “How do I bring in money?” I get paralyzed in analysis.

What can I do, or launch, to turn this around?

Neagle Code Answer

The best thing you can do… is to do the thing that touches your heart the most.

Don’t think about the money. Don’t think about the fear. Instead, do the thing that brings you the most joy.

Doing the thing that brings you joy will bring the highest level of service to other people. AND it will bring you money.

…But nothing will happen if you just sit there in your fear all day.

It’s time to get serious. It’s time to say to yourself, “Listen, I’m not going to tolerate this fear running my life anymore. I’m better than this. I can make a difference in people’s lives.”

You have to make a difference in your own life first. THEN you can make a difference in other people’s lives.

…But you owe it to yourself to do what makes you happy.

The ONLY reason I do anything — ever!

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from an individual who wishes to remain anonymous.

Question:

I've heard you mention that people often do things for love, security, and/or self-esteem. I'm a beginning coach and I feel in my heart (and have felt for much of my life) that teaching and sharing information is a large part of who I am. How can I tell if the joy I feel when sharing information comes from pursuing my heart's desire or is it because teachings fulfill some of my self-esteem needs.

Answer:

This is a question every coach, healer or teacher needs to ask themselves.

Here’s the difference…

Is the joy you’re feeling coming from the sharing of the information or is the joy you feel coming from the accolades you receive from others for sharing the information?

For example, if you were to teach something and then didn’t receive any positive feedback, would the sharing still be joyful?

Do you feel satisfaction for doing the teaching?

Someone who has a lack in self-esteem needs to get it from others. So they will speak and teach with the subconscious goal of “getting” from their clients or audience. They are not coming from a place of giving.

Many people have asked me over the years why I love to teach and speak.

I do what I do for the sole goal of expressing the gifts Spirit has given me, and for no other reason.

You shouldn’t be doing what you’re doing for any other reason either.
