Another word for faith

Another word for faith

There was a short time in my life when I was on food stamps. I had a couple of small kids. It was not a proud moment for me.

The problem was, I was in constant resentment of the situation I was in. I wanted to change, but didn’t know how.

Now, you don’t have to be on food stamps to be in constant resentment.

When you have a desire — when you want something different in your life, and you’re doing the best you think you can do, and nothing is changing — it is so easy for a person to go into resentment.

They start saying, “Why isn’t anything working? Why is this happening to me? Why can’t I be successful?”

Resentment changes your vibration. It begins to change how you see things. Then all you see are more things to be resentful for.

If you truly want to change this…then you have to start “expecting” your desire to show up in your life.

In his book Working with the Law, Raymond Holliwell says, “True desire represents that urge of life seeking a fuller expression, and it’s kept alive by the continuous expectation of its fulfillment.”

In order to receive what we desire, we have to “continuously expect” that it will happen. We need to have faith that it will happen.

Another word for this
faith is gratitude.

When you continuously expect something…you’re building faith that it will happen.

This expectation “brings to us the ways and the means for its manifestation,” says Holliwell.

Whatever you’re “expecting” (good or bad) is also what you’re in harmony with…according to the Law of Vibration.

If you want to change what you’re in harmony with — then you need to start expressing gratitude for the things you desire…as if they were already here.

This keeps your senses open
and changes your perception.

Remember, the law of polarity says that the thing you desire is already here. You just can’t see it or hear it.

But as you increase your faith in this law, you will begin change your belief, and you’ll begin to see opportunities that you could not see before.

Faith and expectations

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from James B.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

Over the years I have read works by Wattles, Allen and Holliwell, and have been trained by Proctor. I do good work with clients, but I cannot understand “faith”. I have no religious beliefs. I believe I'm a good person and strive to help all people achieve the success they desire.

Because I seemingly have no faith, and you mention God, Spirit, Source, and use other terms, how do I get over this faith “emptiness” I have and really move forward in my life and business, please?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi James,

Without faith, you wouldn’t be able to create anything in your life.

So when you say you have no faith, you are incorrect.

You had faith that you could help people, and so you did.

Faith is an expectation.

If you’ve read Wattles, Allen and Holliwell, you will notice there is no mention of faith in terms of religion.

The faith they speak of is a faith in the power of our own ability to create what we want when we want it… the power of our own belief in what is possible and how expectation (faith) is an integral part of anything that you create.

I encourage you to re-examine your understanding of faith, and release the idea that you must have faith in some outside force (God, religion).

Instead, continue to study truth in terms of Universal Law, and practice having faith in The Laws.
