Can anyone master sales, really?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions
for Life”
comes from Yvette.

Neagle Code Question

You’re constantly mentioning the importance of sales. Considering that we all have different skill sets, can ANYONE be a good salesperson? Can I master sales if I don’t like sales?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Yvette.

This is a great question!

The reason I am always stressing the importance of sales is because without sales you don’t have a business. The only way that money changes hands is through sales.

If you don’t like sales it’s because you’re misunderstanding it. Sales is not something you do TO someone, it’s something you do FOR someone. You are helping a person to gain clarity so that they can make a decision that will enhance their life.

That’s why I created the Compassionate Conversion Flow Chart. It helps you be of service to a potential client. When you are focused on you, you can’t help the other person.

You want to be thinking, “How can I help this person?” NOT “What can I get from this person?”

Sales is THE most important skill to master.

And anyone can learn to do it.

Sales will also cause you to grow faster than anything else. If you’re willing to put the effort forth to master sales, nothing can stop you.

When you have your own business, sales is something that needs to happen everyday. If you do this, you will never have money problems.

Master sales. Master your income.

The Most Important Skill in Starting Your Own Business

For many years, I have been in the industry of helping people start their own businesses & coaching them on how to turn their ventures into cash-rich, income producing entities.  I have seen many people come to the table with great ideas and wonderful enthusiasm only to watch them meet their businesses with frustration, and in some cases, failure in the pursuit of their dreams.

The reasons for this usually come pouring out at the onset of a conversation, but many are left really perplexed as to why they are having such trouble when I ask,

“What do you think is the cause of the problem?”

I don't care how you slice it – when it comes right down to it (where the rubber meets the road), you will find that either sales have stopped or never even got off the ground.  EVERY BUSINESS (even charities and non-profits) must have sales to sustain business.

Hard Fact:

Many who enter business really want nothing to do with sales at all.

They loathe the idea and avoid having anything to do with it.  What is really unfortunate is that no matter what the dream is, somebody has to sell it or you will never receive the benefit of your dream.

I guess some people have the belief that if what they have to offer is good enough, people will line up at their door to purchase it.  They just don't understand it takes great marketing & sales skills to get them in the line to begin with.

Once you realize how essential it is to develop a sales consciousness in business and begin devoting the proper amount of time to your own sales development, it will drastically change the direction of your business.

Look at it this way…

If you have a wonderful product or service but little or no skill, you are left with the realization that you are going broke – even though your product is so wonderful everyone should have it! The point is, because you don't know how to sell it, nobody will buy it.

I would rather teach a person how to sell first and then let them come up with a business of their own.  Then no matter what they are faced with they can always sell.  They have the skill.  If you have the skill it doesn't matter what business you are in – you can do well.  But without great sales skills, no matter what business you are in, you won't do well.  Is this starting to make sense?  Good.

Income Explosion Tip…

When it comes to business under pressure (like deadlines and creating income) there are two types of people.

(SIDE NOTE: Neither are right or wrong, just know which one you are)

Type 1:
The first is a person who is fueled by the pressure. They really step up to the plate and perform at a different level.

Type 2:
The second type totally freezes up and they do nothing.  They can't even seem to think because they are in overload and overwhelm.

(If you are of the second type this idea might not be for you.  But if you are of the first type – like I am – then this tip could earn you a lot of money…)

Here it is:

Go out and create a large need to increase your income!

Now don't send me hate mail because “it just didn't work for me.” If you really want to break the 7-figure mark then you must begin to create a real reason to hit that level of income.  Start by committing yourself to various things financially that would create a need for increased income.

You know what happens? You literally flip your brain onto a higher frequency.  You know the  way to create 7-figures is already here, and if you desire to earn that much you can.  In order for you to reach your goal, you need to actually flip your mind & rise to a higher frequency of thought. Then (and only then) will you begin to attract the thoughts, ideas and opportunities that will bring in the m0ney.

Now listen carefully – if you are the type of person that will NOT step up to that level of performance DO NOT go out and rack up a bunch of debt and then say, “David told me to.”  You are on your own here so use your head.  But for all you Type 1 high performers out there, I suggest you go have fun and create a bundle.

“Just Believe,”
