My self esteem is shot. How do I move through this difficult time?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

My self-esteem is in the toilet, and I'm terrified of other people and their judgments. My car is a complete wreck, and I'm really struggling financially. For this reason I isolate myself. I avoid networking events because I'm ashamed someone will see my car. I avoid promoting myself online because I feel that I have nothing of value to say. I avoid dating because I'm embarrassed by my poverty. How can I move through this? Who could possibly help me?

Neagle Code Answer

Right now, the only person who can help you is YOU.

You have to make a decision. And until you make that decision, NOTHING will change no matter who tries to help you.

Right now your programming, your fear and your ego are controlling your life.

All of the self-doubt, fear of judgment, shame and embarrassment were given to you by other people.

They were not given to you by Spirit.

You need to make a decision as to whether you are going to live your own life, or if you are going to be a puppet for someone else.

If you choose to live your own life, you need to immediately begin to do EVERYTHING you are resisting:

  • You must go to networking events to learn that people don’t care what car you drive.
  • You must promote yourself on-line to learn that you DO have something valuable to say.
  • You must begin dating to learn that how much money you make does not determine your worth.
  • You must stop hiding.

So to answer your question, no one can do this for you; you must begin to help yourself by first deciding you want a different life and then beginning to IMMEDIATELY take action to create that different life. In order to support you, STUDY the truth.

I would also recommend you consider joining me in my new low-cost program titled β€œSubconscious Success.” It will begin to give you the awareness you are looking for as to WHY you are experiencing what you are experiencing, and HOW to begin to think differently so you can act differently. Can I go into debt to invest in my business?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Is it OK to go into debt to build your business and invest in business growth strategies?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi, and thanks for your question.

This question is the perfect example of my teachings on using debt as a tool.

I truly believe that the best use of debt is in the investment in your own growth, whether it’s personal, spiritual or business.

If you talk to any successful business owner, you will see that they have used debt to propel their business.

However, there are parameters around using debt to grow your business.

First, before considering taking out a loan, you MUST have a plan. You must have an actionable strategy with clear-cut goals and benchmarks or be investing in a program that’s going to give you that clear-cut plan.

Taking out a loan and not having a plan in place that allows for you to pay it back is financially irresponsible and only serves as a Band-Aid.

Second, you must be WILLING do what it takes to get a return on investment. This means you have to take action on your plan, and allow nothing to stop you.

A plan and goals are only as good as the paper they are written on. You must be WILLING to take action.

I see entrepreneurs EVERYDAY who spend money on building their business or getting the information they need to build their business, but they never take the action they need to take to grow, and life becomes very hard.

The debt piles up and stress, worry, fear and doubt take hold.

Suddenly they find themselves wondering what happened and why things aren’t working and why things are so hard.

You see…success is EASY if you are willing.

I’m doing a free mini-course on this exact topic at 2:00 pm ET on September 1st. I even titled it, β€œStop Making Things HARD.” Click here to join me: www.DavidNeagle.com/hard-enough

Should I stay or should I go? A step-by-step approach to making the decision

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

If a person is not happy in a job choice or position does that mean the person should figure out how to change to become happy in any position, or should the person leave the job/position and find something that makes the person happy with the mindset they currently have?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi, and thanks for your question.

I really love this question, and the answer is a bit step-by-step.

First, the person needs to figure out why they are not happy in their current position.

Is it because they can’t meet their financial goals in that position? Is there a conflict with a co-worker or team member? Are the tasks associated with the position not tasks that the person finds enjoyment in?

Depending on the answer to that first question, that person must decide if they want to stay or go. Chances are if the person is not clear why they are unhappy in their position, they will attract the same situation in their next position.

Remember, every obstacle is an opportunity for growth.

If they decide to go, it’s important that they change their attitude around the job and really look at how they can do their absolute best until the next opportunity is manifested.

Some of you may remember me talking about when I first worked on the loading docks in Chicago making $20,000.00 per year. I couldn’t make the money I wanted, I was miserable, and I had a horrible attitude.

As soon as I changed my attitude and did my best in that position, I became aware of a better opportunity that had been right in front of me the entire time, and that opportunity allowed me to go from $20,000.00 per year to $60,000.00 per year doing something I enjoyed A LOT more.

Changing my attitude was the KEY factor in finding the next opportunity. I was making things so difficult for myself.

I see all sorts of business owners doing the same thing, which is why I’d like to invite you to join me for my free training titled, β€œStop Making Things Hard!”. During this training I’ll go into detail about the things we do to make our goals so hard to achieve and how we can overcome this sub-conscious trap. How can I focus when the β€œfear of failure” overwhelms me?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Marjorie H.

Neagle Code Question

I just walked away from my corporate job of 17 years and for the last 6 months or so I have been trying to β€œfind myself”. I've been doing a lot of soul searching and a lot of journal writing, and I come up with great ideas. I start working on them, and then I begin to experience this overwhelming fear of failure and I jump to something else. I know I need to focus on one thing, but I'm afraid if I spend too much time on the wrong thing, I could fail and have wasted all that time and possibly be out of time and money. I really hated my corporate job, but at least someone was always telling me what to do. Do you have any suggestions on how to navigate this?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Marjorie, and congrats on the beginning of the rest of your life!

The key thing to understand here is that it is your FEAR OF FAILURE that is causing you to stop and find something else.

Let me remind you of something really important.

FEAR IS A LIE. And it is not from Spirit.

Fear is not a message to you from Source that’s trying to redirect you or help you course correct. It is from your ego.

And your ego has one goal in mind: to stop you from growing.

You see your ego views growth as a huge threat, and it will go to every length possible to keep you β€œsafe”.

Instead of allowing fear to direct your decisions, I recommend using the following four questions:

1) Is this something I want to be, do or have?
2) Is being, doing or having this taking me closer to my goal? (You want a yes here)
3) Is being, doing or having this in alignment with Universal Law (more life to all)?
4) Does being, doing or having this violate the rights of others (does it take away someone else’s right to choose)?

The determining factor in using these questions is that you must answer yes to the first three questions, and no to the fourth.

When experiencing indecision, using the four questions above will help you see clearly which direction to take without letting fear take the reins in your life.

Once you make a solid decision using those four questions, then it’s time to exercise both belief and faith. This is where most people get tripped up and they stop.

I’m going to be facilitating a 3-day seminar on this exact topic July 26th-28th. I highly suggest you join me at Manifest Success Seminar and gain both the awareness and the confidence you need to step into your new life. Click here for all the details: www.davidneagleseminars.com

Don’t hesitate to make this decision…there are fewer that 20 seats left!

[8 Steps To A Live Presentation That Sells Series] Article #17 ~ Should you offer a guarantee?

A few weeks ago I told you that your order form should include a written guarantee on the product that you’re selling in the back of the room.

Here’s why: The number of people who will actually return a product is very small, while the confidence that your guarantee provides can increase sales dramatically.

A guarantee lowers the level of risk in people’s minds, thus calming their fears, and helping them to get off the fence.

Longer Is Better

This may surprise you, but the longer the guarantee on your product, the fewer returns you’re likely to get.

That’s right, you’ll get fewer returns on a 12-month guarantee than you would on a guarantee that’s good for 30 days. Why? With a longer guarantee, people won’t feel the urgency to act, and so they’re less likely to do so.

Urgency to buy works in your favor. But urgency on the buyer to decide if they love and want to keep what they bought ~ that works against you.

So when you structure your guarantees, think like a quarterback, and go long.

Different Guarantees for Different Situations

When it comes to guarantees, one size does not fit all. You want the right guarantee for your situation, and in some cases, that’s no guarantee at all.

Coaching. I do NOT offer a guarantee for coaching, because, in order to get results, you have to do what I show you how to do. I can give you great information, the best information in the world, but there’s absolutely nothing that I can do to make you apply it.

Seminars. Currently, I offer a first-day guarantee on seminars. By the end of the first day, I should be able to show attendees enough value for them to want to stay for the length of our seminar.

Therefore, if they’re not absolutely convinced by the end of the first day that the seminar is everything we said it would be, we refund their entrance fee, plus reimburse them for up to $500 in travel expenses. The expenses need to be documented, of course.

Good Guarantees = Good Business

You're in business for life. You want to establish credibility. And you want people out there saying great things about you. Anything that you can do to make the experience with you and your company a fantastic one is better for you.

Show your clients that you and your company are top notch. Do it to the best of your ability.

Now, there will be some people you can't satisfy, no matter what you do. Don’t get overly upset about them.

Turn your attention to the other 99%, who will appreciate your efforts. They will be more likely to purchase because of your guarantee, and then, in all likelihood, never use it.

The Laws of Success

Everywhere I go people ask me questions about whether or not it is right for them to ask for more.

“David, is to okay for me to want to be more, do more and have more?”

They also think on some level if things don't work out and what is wanted is not achieved, then there must be some force in the Universe working against them, or the timing is not right for what they want.

I would like to add a bit of perspective from my own experience and the ideas of Raymond Holliwell, author of The Laws of Success.

One of the most difficult concepts for people to grasp is the power that lies within themselves to create.

I recently returned from my ERS seminar in Vegas where I taught people how to literally manifest money.Β  Each person started with nothing, and by following very specific laws they learned how to create money right in their very hands.

People typically have a difficult time understanding how serious I am about their ability to manifest money, but the outcome is phenomenal. Most attendees become very emotional about what they have learned to do, and they realize their lives have just changed forever.

Holliwell put it this way:

“The principle explains that no desire is felt until the supply is ready to appear.Β  No mind can be conscious of a need or a desire unless the possibility of its fulfillment exists.”

Do you know how powerful that makes you?

You cannot ask too much of the Law, for it is unlimited and the supply is inexhaustible.

You can get only what you can conceive – what you can understand.Β  You can only get the equivalent to what you give.

It is critical you study and learn from the right people.Β  All of your success will come in the form of an opportunity, and you must give something in exchange for each opportunity.Β  If you step back in fear you lose.Β  That is the law.

Remember…you have attracted everything and everyone into your life for a purpose, which is to move you into being what you want to be.
