What “Spirit” Really Means…

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

In the book, “The Science of Being Great,” Wallace Wattles says “Nothing that is possible in spirit is impossible in flesh and blood.”

I’m confused about the word “spirit.” Does he mean imagination?—like what I can imagine through the power of the spirit? Does he mean possibility? Or does he mean God’s power?

Also, when I’m imagining, am I creating or receiving? Is it me moving the particles in the universe, or am I just opening up to receive what already exists?

Neagle Code Answer

I think “spirit” means all three of those things—imagination, possibility, and God’s power.

When you’re imagining something, you’re tapping into the universal intelligence. You can call it “spirit,” “energy,” “God,” or whatever you want to call it. When you tap into that, there’s infinite possibility. Nothing is impossible.

To answer your second question about imagination… when you’re imagining something, you’re opening up to receive what already exists in the universe. But you’re arranging the particles based on the correlation and the clarity of your imagination.

For example, if the image in your head is fuzzy, vague, or confused—you’ll get fuzzy, vague, or confused results.

But if the image of your imagination is crystal clear—and you can see it, hear it, feel it, taste it, or touch it—then you’re “arranging the particles” in a more powerful way. The universe responds to your clarity of vision.

The clearer your image is (in your imagination), the more you’ll receive what matches that.

If you want to understand this more, read “Your Invisible Power” by Genevieve Behrend. She talks about visualization at the beginning of the book and does a beautiful job with it.

If I’ve wanted this goal for so long, then why hasn’t it happened yet?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

David,

When people ask me what I want, I find myself stumbling with the answer to that question as if I might answer it wrong. However, I do know a few things… I know I want a bigger home. I know I want to be debt free. I know I want to travel and give my kids some amazing experiences, but I can’t seem to bring in the money I think I need to have and do all those things. So, part of me wonders why, if I’ve wanted these things for so long, haven’t they happened yet. Can you help me understand what’s going on here?

Neagle Code Answer

Sure! Let’s do a quick check in three different areas that affect your ability to manifest what you want.

Any time that you’re choosing something that you want in life, whether you are writing affirmations, a mission statement, creating a vision board, setting goals or intentions, you need to get a very clear idea of what it is that you want, and write it down in the present tense, as though you already have it.

For example, “I want to buy a beautiful house in the country” becomes “I am buying a beautiful house in the country.

Once your thought is clear, you need to make sure that your emotions are as well.

Look at your written goal or desire and ask yourself, “Do I believe that I can get or have that thing I want?

If your desire is more of a fairytale that you would love to have, but don’t really believe you’re going to get, you need to throw that paper away and start again with, “What do I really believe I can get?

If you don’t believe you can have what you want, Spirit doesn’t believe it either.

And since Spirit works deductively, it can only send back to you in manifest form what you actually believe.

And finally, look at the goal you wrote down and ask yourself: “Is this just something that I think I can accomplish, or is it something that I really want? Does it stir my soul and inspire me?

When I first started doing goal setting for myself, I made the mistake that most people do. I started picking things that I thought I could accomplish, which was really based out of past experience and not what I really wanted in my heart, not something that excited me or gave me any kind of vision for my future.

Therefore nothing changed. The energy behind the picture was of the past, so nothing changed.

As you can see, there’s a very delicate balance that must take place in order for you to work what most people would consider miracles into your life.

Your desire can’t be too much in your past, and it can’t be too far into your future either. It needs to help you grow while remaining within your belief system.

Why doesn’t Spirit give us what we really want?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

First, I have to admit I’m new to all this “Universal Law Spiritual Stuff,” but most of it makes sense. Here’s where I have a bit of a hiccup:

I’ve heard you teach that God is a loving God and that the main Law that runs through everything is more life. Oh, and also, that God wants more than we want for ourselves.

So why doesn’t Spirit then give us what we really want, rather than the manifestation of the message we’re communicating? That seems MUCH more loving to me…

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

Ah, yes…I love this question…

The problem is, we were given the power to choose.

In fact, the power to choose is the greatest power that we have.

If Spirit intervened in our choices, we would not have that power.

We would be like children, not the adults we are.

So rather than railing against the Universe for “giving” you debt and bad relationships, exercise your power to choose something different.

Become aware of, and take responsibility for, the messages you’re conveying; and then do the work to align your desires, emotions, and actions, so that you’re sending a clear message to Spirit for the thing you truly want.

If you succeed in doing that, as you follow the other Laws of the Universe, Spirit will give it back to you in physical form like I explained last week.

And you can have the abundant lifestyle you desire.

I give. Why am I not receiving the results I want?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Margit L.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

I know I’m inherently a good person. I am giving. I don’t take away the rights of others, and I feel like I’m doing what I’ve been put here to do. All that being said, I don’t understand why Spirit keeps giving me results I don’t want. I feel like Spirit has a different plan for me…Could this be?

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

Fantastic question!

The reason is likely due to a misunderstanding of The Reciprocating Law of Spirit. Now, don’t be daunted—this mouthful of a law is actually pretty easy to understand.

Reciprocal” means to give in return; therefore, this law explains the fact that Spirit gives you the manifestation of the message that you give it.

It also means that you can have virtually anything you want.

You give your message to Spirit. Spirit gives it back to you (via The Law of Perpetual Transmutation) in physical form. That’s actually great news; however, most people don’t understand that Spirit works deductively.

That means Spirit doesn’t change what you choose.

So if you choose from a wounded psychological, emotional or physical place, Spirit will give you what you’ve chosen in physical form—whether you consciously want it or not.

For instance, let’s say you want a great income so that you can live an abundant lifestyle.

That’s your desire. But if your emotions or beliefs contradict your desire, you’re sending a confused message to Spirit. Perhaps you don’t believe you’re worthy or smart enough, or you’re afraid of surpassing your parents.

Given this scenario, it’s surely the case that your actions will only muddy the message. You’ll take some actions toward creating the income you want, but you’ll also sabotage yourself on a regular basis in any number of ways, such as not following up on opportunities or procrastinating.

What does Spirit do with this mixed message?

It turns it back over exactly as it receives it.

Am I addicted to fear?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from an individual who wishes to remain anonymous.

Question:

Hi David! Thanks so much for this Saturday morning kick in the pants…

Here’s my question. Over the last year I have set goals, and for the most part, hit them. However, each time I reach a goal, I feel a new set of fears bearing down on me. I keep thinking that if I could just be successful enough or make enough money, the fears will go away and my life will be easy. Is this accurate thinking or am I a fear addict?

Answer:

Great question and congratulations on your growth and success!

What you’re experiencing is what I like to call “New level, new devil”.

Many people have a common misunderstanding that once they hit a certain point in their business; everything suddenly becomes a bed of roses.

The truth is that every time you change, adapt and grow, you experience fear. It’s a natural part of the process. Remember, your ego sees growth and change as a threat, and therefore creates the illusion of fear to keep you exactly where you are.

As an entrepreneur, you MUST get comfortable being uncomfortable.

So the MOST important thing to remember as you’re going through the terror barrier each time, is that whatever you focus on will grow.

If you give energy to the fear by trying to fight it or figure it out, you will manifest reasons to feel fearful. If you focus on the success, you will manifest opportunities to be successful.

Here’s your cheat sheet on coping with the fear.

When you feel yourself going to that dark place, instead of fighting it, which only gives energy to it, greet it like an old friend, and say, “Thanks fear, it’s nice to know you’ll always be there for me, but today I’m going to focus on something else (love, my successes, what I’m grateful for, etc).”

Pretty soon, the fear will take a back seat, and you’ll get so good at redirecting your thoughts, that the next time you feel the fear bubbling, all you have to do is think, “NEXT!”, and quickly move to a thought steeped in love or gratitude.

1)Fear is a lie.

and

2) Spirit NEVER speaks to you through fear.

When you begin to experience fear, become aware of what it really is.

A lie cannot hold up in the light of the truth.
