Just Like Gravity

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

What do you mean when you say that the Laws are always working? Don’t we have to work the Laws?

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

I’d be happy to answer that question!

You’re operating under the Laws of the Universe whether you’re conscious of them or not.

You can’t manifest anything in this world without application of every one of the Laws. And you’re manifesting every second of every day….all the good and all the bad.

That’s why they’re called the Laws of the Universe.

Nothing escapes them.

Consider the Law of Gravity. Anything that is heavier than air is pulled toward the center of the earth.

It does not matter if you’re a scientist and you understand exactly how gravity works, or if you’re completely ignorant of it.

If you fall, you’re still going down, because we’re all subject to that law.

It’s the same with the seven Laws of the Universe.

They are absolute.

And they make no exception for ignorance.

If you’re not aware of the Law of Gravity and you walk off the end of a building, a great big hand is not going to come out of the sky and grab you because you didn’t know you would fall.

Similarly, the Laws of the Universe don’t change just because you weren’t aware of them or because you had a good intention.

You’re either working WITH the Law or you’re working AGAINST the Law.

And you can tell by your results which is the case.

Either way the Laws are ALWAYS working!

I’m hosting a 2 Hour FREE workshop this Tuesday at 3pm ET. During that workshop I’m going to be sharing EXACTLY how you can work with the Laws to achieve business growth. Have a Hard Time Managing Time? Read This.

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I have two questions. First, if you want to do something, and you're feeling some resistance behind it, do you recommend talking to somebody who has a different perspective and say, “What do you see as the opportunity, here?” Second, I'll get ideas, and then I'll just stop. I'll just do whatever it is tomorrow. One of the obstacles that I keep coming across is just managing the time.

Neagle Code Answer

GREAT questions!!

In short, the answer is yes, you can talk to someone, and ask them for help, but make sure you're talking to somebody that can actually help you see the opportunity.

If you're talking to somebody that's very much like yourself, you'll probably get terrible advice.

Talk to somebody that is either further ahead than you are or is optimistic enough in reality to give you some solid advice.

To answer your second question, you don't manage time. Nobody can manage time.

You manage activities.

Activities are managed based on the vision that you have for what you want to create. Once we create a vision for ourselves, the vision dictates everything that we do from that day on, right?

Determine how much time you’re giving to activities based on solid deadlines, and make adjustments to ensure you’re setting yourself up for success.

Stick to that. If you’re really serious, you stick to it. You commit to it.

That's how you build new habits.

Overcoming your circumstance

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Sometimes I look at my life and think, “What have I been doing all this time?” How can I avoid feeling remorseful about the time I’ve wasted?

I’ve heard you say, “We’re always expressing, so we’re always moving toward our purpose, but sometimes not as quickly as others.”

How do we keep a positive outlook on our journey, up to this point? How do we start from where we’re at now — and not allow negative thoughts about what we ‘could have done’ or ‘should have done’ to enter into our current forward momentum?

Neagle Code Answer

There are two ways to approach this problem.

One is to say there really is no such thing as “wasted time,” if you’re looking at the ultimate truth of something. Everything we’ve done and experienced up until this point was 100% necessary to get us where we are today.

The other is to come from a slightly less positive perspective — which says, “Time is wasted if I knew what to do, but chose to do something else instead.”

Often, we know what we’re supposed to do to reach our goal…but we don’t do it. We do something else instead.

When we know what we’re supposed to do, but we don’t do it — then there’s some other problem we’re not addressing:

We don’t know WHY we’re not doing the thing we’re supposed to do.

Most people have this problem.

My belief is that most people know what they want. They know what to do to get it — but they don’t know why they’re not doing it.

So, they start feeling guilt around that. They go back into the paradigm of what’s holding them back, not moving them forward.

Guilt is just a way to keep you stuck in a past story.

Here’s the truth:

It doesn’t matter what you did (or didn’t do) in the past. We can’t go back and change anything. The only thing we can do is move forward.

When someone says, “I’m coming from guilt,” they’re really not. They’re coming from the original fear that would not allow them to move forward when they recognized it was time to move forward in the first place.

It’s very cyclical. It’s all part of the same conundrum of why a person doesn’t take action, regardless of what the circumstantial evidence is.

The circumstantial evidence of your life rarely plays a role in why you don’t move forward.

Throughout human history, we’ve overcome circumstances in every way imaginable or unimaginable. We have ample proof that we can do that.

Rarely are circumstances an actual reason to stop.

What’s important is:

Do we have the desire that will allow us to overcome our circumstances? That’s it.

Identifying what your desire is, and continuously moving toward the expectation of fulfilling that desire… is what’s important.

An Exercise to Conquer Fear

An Exercise to Conquer Fear

Do you let fear stop you from taking action on creating the life of your dreams?

If so, here’s an exercise for you.

Take out a blank sheet of paper. Write down all the things you haven’t done in your life because of fear.

And understand this:

In order for fear to get you to say “no,” it has to get your agreement.

Don’t ever forget this. If you can remember this for the rest of your life, it will allow you to do something most people never do — to step out of the fear briefly, and analyze your decision from a place of TRUTH.

If fear is stopping you…ask yourself, “What am I agreeing with in my fear?”

Is it that you can’t do it? That something will go wrong? That you’ll make a mistake?

All the reasons why you “can’t” do something are wrapped up in your fear.

…That’s how fear stops every person. That’s the only way fear can stop you…

It gets you to agree with something that’s not true.

So…what do you agree with?

Human beings are only born with two fears — the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Our two-million-year-old brain has a mechanism designed to stop us from doing things that might kill us.

But today, once you grow up, fear is not something that should even be part of your life.

Why? Because you have the ability to choose.

Many people live in fear of all kinds. Maybe they have fear in their relationship, fear in their finances, fear in their health, fear in where they live…

But we have the ability to choose.

If we’re actually in some kind of danger, we can choose to move ourselves out of that danger. So there’s no reason to live in fear.

When fear stops you from doing something — just pause and ask yourself, “What am I agreeing with, in order for this fear to stop me?

You’re agreeing with something.

For most people, it’s subconscious. They’re not even sure what they’re agreeing with, because they’ve never asked themselves this question before.

All they experience is the emotion — a bad feeling.

All they see are things in their environment that represent “why I can’t do this thing I want to do.”

They agree with it, and they stop right there.

Then there’s no forward movement.

[Recommendation] Books that fuel me

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!  What do you believe is the single best place to start studying if I’m new to the “personal development” world?

Neagle Code Answer

I was just asked this question at a meeting I attended last week…actually I was asked about my favorite book.

And my answer was that I don’t have a favorite…I LOVE them ALL!

But I will give you a list of the books that I’ve found most helpful to my growth and the growth of my students.

If someone were to ask me what book has been the most influential in my life, I would say it is The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. I still remember the day I picked it up and read it, and I can honestly say, since that day over 20 years ago, I’ve never travelled or taught without it.

It’s a book that explained so much for me, and even now, I can open any page, at any time and see the truth in its pages. It appears to be a short simple book, but actually I’ve found that there are hidden “secrets” that most people miss.

I’m going to be sharing those secrets in a free training I’m hosting on Tuesday. If you’ve read it several times, or even if you’ve never picked the book up before, I invite you to join me.

If you’re interested, CLICK HERE.

The other books I’d recommend are:

  • You2
    – by Price Pritchett

  • God Works Through Faith
    – by Robert A. Russell

  • The Four Agreements
    – by Don Miguel Ruiz

  • Think & Grow Rich
    – by Napoleon Hill

  • Working With The Law
    – by Raymond Holliwell

Before you go blasting through each of these books to check them off your list, I suggest that you “STUDY” them. Go slow and take them chapter by chapter.

Each one of them contains pure gold.

And once again, if you’d like to begin your book study with me, click below to register for my upcoming free training!

Are You “Cradled in Convention”?

Are You “Cradled in Convention”?

What is your purpose? Why are you here? And are you taking that “out to the edge”?

In other words — are you pushing yourself to the very edge of what you’re capable of, as it relates to your purpose in life?

In his poem, “The Call of the Wild,” Robert William Service talks about how other people have created us in their convention:

They have cradled you in custom, they have primed you with their preaching,
They have soaked you in convention through and through;
They have put you in a showcase; you’re a credit to their teaching…

When we’re “cradled in convention,” this results in us seeing the entire world through someone else’s eyes — and through somebody else’s experience (rather than our own).

That’s what our parents did. They soaked us in “convention” — i.e., indoctrinated us into the way they did things.

They created a “box” for us to live in.

Outside of that box is TRUTH…which sets you free.

If we could stand in the full truth of our being (i.e., who we truly are) — it would totally set us free.

We’d stop struggling. We wouldn’t have much difficulty accomplishing what we want to accomplish. We wouldn’t fight ourselves all that much.

It’s very difficult to get to this truth when the only part of your world you can experience, is through a very narrow vision of what life is.

You have your environment, your circumstances, and your results.

…And you have a very narrow “box” through which you observe or perceive those things.

Your beliefs control your perception.

Your values control your perception.

The wounds you’ve had throughout your lifetime control your perception.

When most people get wounded, they don’t see the “truth” in it. They see the pain in it. Instead of expanding their life, the pain contracts it.

It says, “Don’t do this again…don’t experience that again, because that causes pain.” So their life contracts.

They start to see LESS of what they saw before — until their world becomes very small. It keeps them in a very narrow perception of what’s going on. So they can’t see the truth.

If we’re going to change this in our own life…then one of the things we have to do is begin to understand what the truth looks like.

By studying the laws of the universe, we bring truth into our awareness.

Let go without losing control

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

You’ve often asked, “What are you resisting?”  Well, I’m resisting letting go of control. I know that in order to push my business where I want it to be, I need let go of control. I cannot do everything myself.

I’ve tried letting other people do things for me — but sometimes they don’t do what I expect them to do.

How do I let go of my need to control, without losing the integrity of my vision?

How do I let go of control, without settling for less than what I want?

Neagle Code Answer

Amazing question!!

There are certain things you let go of control of… and there are certain things you don’t.

It’s your business, so you have to give it direction.

You’re in control of the people you hire to do the job you expect them to do. You’re in control of holding them accountable for that.

You’re not in control of them doing the work. That’s where you give direction only.

Your direction needs to be clear and concise. When you hire someone, make sure you’re hiring a person who can do the job you need done.

What I typically find in people who have a control issue is — they subconsciously hire people whom they can control. They don’t hire people who are independent enough to take the direction, and who can do a better job than you’d do yourself.

As a business owner, think of yourself as a conductor of a symphony. You want the best symphony in the world. You’re looking for the best people who can play specific instruments you need to make your symphony really sing.

All you’re doing is directing everyone and keeping them in time, based on where the music is telling you to go.

The “music” is in us — it’s our dream, our goal, our vision.

You communicate your vision to everyone you hire, who plays the instruments in your company. You start to love it, because you have people who are masters at playing their instrument in your business. You’re directing where they’re going, so it’s all in harmony. The whole thing moves like a beautiful piece of music.

Also — don’t hire people who take things personally. Hire people who can handle criticism well.

When they make mistakes, you’ll need to correct them to help them improve. The idea is that they take the feedback and make the corrections — not get so offended by it that they can’t move on.

If you have a control issue, then when somebody makes a mistake, it makes you feel out of control.

So ask yourself: “How am I communicating with that person from my own insecurity?”

Always take responsibility for how someone else is showing up in YOUR business — and you’ll fix the problem completely.

Do I have a Dark Side?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Brian O.

Neagle Code Question

David… I’ve heard you mention the “Dark Side” MANY times over the last couple of months and I’m paying attention, but I still have confusion about what a “Dark Side” really is. Every time I hear it, I think it must be a bad side or an evil side of myself. Can you clarify please?

Neagle Code Answer

I’d be happy to explain!!

Human beings have a tremendous amount of creative power that can be consciously used in their life to create any life that they desire.

If we start with that frame and then think to ourselves, how many people don't create the life they desire, the question then becomes, “Why don't they?”

Where did this power go and how did they become so impotent in their own life that they can't actually create the life that they desire?

It actually is a power that gets suppressed by ideas that conflict with the higher side of ourselves.

Let me explain… the higher side of the human personality, or who we are at our core, is something that is tapped into Universal truth.

And what truth really does is allows us to live prosperously. It allows us to remove pain and suffering from our life to a great extent. It allows us to surround ourselves with magnificent people and magnificent situations and opportunities to really not only explore, but experience the grandeur of life and be a benefit to other people as well.

But when we are growing up and we're taught to suppress the true essence of who we are, it starts to form what we call The Dark Side. So, the Dark Side is like a mixing bowl in front of you. In it there is a combination of:

  • your greatest assets and power,
  • parts of you that you were told that were wrong,
  • parts of you that you were shamed about,
  • parts of you that you carry guilt about,
  • and tremendous secrets that we carry in life,

And unfortunately, most people don't think that they can let the dark side of themselves out because what will evidently happen is that people will reject them.

In essence, our Dark Side is the powerful TRUE side of ourselves that we were shamed for, ridiculed for, or made wrong for… and so we hid those pieces of ourselves in the dark and gave our greatest power away to someone else.

I’d love to shed light on YOUR Dark Side and help you tap into its power, which is why I’m hosting a FREE 60-minute training this week that I’ve titled, Tap Into The Power of Your Dark Side. CLICK HERE for the details!

A Fork in the Road

A Fork in the Road

Nothing happens in the universe by chance.

There’s a purpose for every single thing you experience in your life… whether you’re aware of it or not.

In a very real sense, we’re constantly coming to a “crossroads” with each opportunity we experience.

At any moment, you are faced with a choice: stay where you are… or do something to change your experience.

Each time we’re faced with a decision… we’re also being called to step into “faith.”

We either have faith in moving in the direction we want to go in…

Or we have faith in the fear that’s holding us back.

If we have faith in the fear, then we stay stuck. We stay right where we are.

Think about a decision you’re trying to make in your life. What is that decision?

Whatever it is… faith is coming in at this specific time, for a very specific reason in your life.

You cannot break through the fear that’s stopping you without the power of faith.

Faith allows you to keep moving forward, even though fear is present in your life.

I’m not talking about an ordinary faith… but a faith with deep understanding.

That’s really the key to freedom.

I find that as a person begins to understand the truth behind everything they’re experiencing… their life starts to change in that moment.

As you read this now, you’re at a crossroads in your life. You’ve been given the gift of making a conscious choice.

(A conscious choice happens when you’re aware that you’re choosing… and you’re not just choosing based out of a reaction.)

People are always making choices… but they’re often choosing between two things they don’t want.

They’re not thinking to themselves, “If I could do ANYTHING, have anything, and be anything — then THIS is the direction I would take.”

What choice is in front of you right now?

Are you going to stay the same or are you going to make a choice to step into your purpose?

Choose wisely.

The Power of the Dark Side

The Power of the Dark Side

No matter what you believe… the truth is that how you show up in the world today is based on what your experience of life was between the ages of 0-7.

Let me explain…

Most parents do the absolute best job they can raising their children. I think we can all agree on that. But I think we can also all agree that as children there were things that we did or said that our parents reacted strongly to. If we did something to embarrass them, if we were disrespectful, if we showed anger, our parents would react in a way that caused us to stop that natural expression of who we were.

And if you shut down your ability to express yourself to your parents, because you were only allowed to express yourself in ways that they deemed fit, you never got to know who you really are.

Why?

Because you shut off your inner voice.

That inner voice is there for every person.

It is the same as instinct is for the bird, or the squirrel, or the moose, or a tree. It tells you what to do, who to be, where to go, how to show up… but you have to learn to listen to it. And unfortunately, most of us were NEVER taught how to listen to that voice.

Instead we were taught to get our guidance from outside our selves. We were taught to look to our parents, teachers, relatives or others with “authority” over us, and thus began the slow process of losing ourselves.

Look, every one of us has a purpose, but because of the way we were raised, we can’t hear our own inner desires… and even if we DO hear that inner voice, we have excuse after excuse as to why we can’t have that, do that or be that.

It's there for all of us… that purpose, that desire.

We have to start to be aware of is how much information that we've been given that leads us in the opposite direction of that. Because when you're living a life and you're not happy, when you're not making the money that you want, when you're not expressing yourself the way that you want, when you're in a relationships that sucks, what you're really doing is you're listening to somebody else's voice in your head.

You're not listening to yourself.

And you've got so many insecurities, you don't know even how to make a decision to move yourself out of that place and into the place where you want to be.

I’d like to help you with that. I’d like to help you turn this cycle around and tap into your greatest power… the power of being who you REALLY are. I’ve created a quick FREE lesson that you can access by audio or video that explains this process… and gives you steps to finally start to see who you were meant to be rather than the person everyone told you that you had to be. ENJOY!
