This kills me every time

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

All but one part of my life “clicks.” My bills are paid. My relationships are fantastic. I love what I do and am super happy, except for this one thing.

I find it gut-wrenching to charge for my work. I rarely charge what the work was worth. I am excellent at what I do, and I have great testimonials. I feel like I have a good self-esteem. I just prefer to do what I love and let the Universe provide.

I'd like to step up my income and move to the next level, which will mean charging what my quality of work is worth. Can you help?

Neagle Code Answer

I love this question…

I need to tell you something, and I'm typing it with nothing but love.

You don't have a healthy self-esteem.

If you did, you wouldn't be afraid of the rejection you would have to deal with when you begin to charge what you're worth.

Above you said that you're excellent at what you do and that you have great testimonials. So tell me, if this is the case, why would you find it gut-wrenching to charge for your work?

You prefer to do what you love and let the Universe provide because you are afraid of what will need to happen for you to grow. You would need to stand in your power, be confident and not be afraid of hearing the word “no”.

And let me tell you something…

The Universe doesn't “provide” anything.

It does what you tell it to do. You DECIDE, and the Universe responds. And right now, you are creating just enough to get by.

You see Spirit doesn't speak to you through fear; therefore, it's not Spirit that's making it gut-wrenching to charge for your services.

It's your ego.

Your ego knows that you are afraid of rejection and judgment from others, and so it uses that belief to stop you from growing.

Charging what you're worth means that you would need to grow into being that person, and that's something your ego DOES NOT  want you to do because it views any kind of growth as a risk.

So, what is the value of the services you offer?

Can you see yourself feeling good about asking for that price?

Write it down and practice saying it out loud. Make it feel real to you.

THEN

In your next sales conversation ask for that price.

It's the only way to eliminate that gut-wrenching fear…and hit that next level!

Stop swimming upstream!

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Chad R.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I've been stuck for a really long time. It seems that every time I try something, I don't get results. It's becoming very hard to believe in The Laws because I'm continually NOT getting what I want. I feel like I'm constantly swimming upstream in a lead suit!

Can you help?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for your question, Chad.

First, I want to point out that whether you believe in The Laws or not, they are at work 100% of the time.

Just like gravity.

Gravity doesn't really care if you believe in it or not, but if you step off a roof, you're going to hit the ground. The Laws are the same.

You are manifesting every second of every day whether you realize it or not.

And just so you're clear, the definition of manifesting is becoming aware of what is already here.

Second, I want to point out that you ARE getting results. They may not be the results that you want or expect, but they are results nonetheless.

What are these results
trying to teach you?

If life feels hard, it's because something in your belief system says it MUST be hard.

Take some time and be honest with yourself. Sit quietly and really THINK.

Did your parents have a value around needing things to be hard?

Was it shameful for things to be easy?

What was the story told in your family about success?

You see…

Nothing in nature
struggles like humans do

Nothing.

I see this all the time with people who attend my events and even my clients.

They were brought up in a middle class value system or even religion that believed that life HAD to be hard…that struggle was a good thing…and that they were undeserving of what they desired.

They bragged about their difficulties and found significance in their troubles.

Any of this ring true for you?

If so, mark your calendar RIGHT now and join me on Tuesday March 20th at 1pm ET. I'll be hosting a free 60-minute training on how to Stop Making Things Hard. So, take off the lead suit, and instead learn how to go with – not against — the current to bring you exactly what you want!

I needed to sell my boat…

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I recently read something you had written a while ago about the Law of Sacrifice. I don't get it… you teach that we can have it all, so why do we have to sacrifice anything?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Jean! What a GREAT question, and one lots of people misunderstand.

The Law of Sacrifice is quite simple…

It states that one must

let go of something of a
lower nature for something of a higher nature to take its place.

It's interesting you ask this question, because earlier this week I sent an email to my community about my decision to attend my first personal development seminar.

It was in 1993 after I had bought Tony Robin's cassette-based virtual program. I wore those cassette tapes out, and knew I HAD to go to his seminar.

My problem was, that I didn't have the several thousand dollars for the ticket.

I remember looking out my window and seeing my boat (the boat that I had worked like crazy to be able to purchase). And a voice inside my head said, “Sell the boat.”

Here's a picture of it…

I thought to myself, if I sell my boat and go to this seminar, I'll be able to buy ANY boat I want.

So, I sold it and went. And if you read my email this week, you know that it was at that event that I first got a glimpse of my purpose.

This is the Law of Sacrifice at work. I needed to let go of the boat (which was no longer serving me) to let something of a higher nature come in.

You see, nature abhors a vacuum, and by letting go of something of a lower nature, you instantly make room for something of a higher nature (something you REALLY want) to come in.

Sometimes you may need to let go of a relationship, a value, a belief, or a thing that's no longer serving you; but when you do that — you grow — and you will immediately attract something of a higher nature.

I've never regretted selling that boat…and in fact, I was right, what I learned allowed me to get an even better one. (see below)

So, Jean, ask yourself this:

What am I holding on to that is no longer serving me?

And then my advice:

LET IT GO…
because something much better is waiting for you.

I'll be sharing more stories like this and teaching for 3 solid days on Universal Law and Success Mindset this summer in Atlanta. These principles are THE KEY to your personal and financial freedom. You can spend these  3 days with me for only $147.00… not such a big sacrifice, if you ask me 😉

Afraid to choose?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I know most people struggle with seeing opportunity…my problem is the opposite. I have LOTS of opportunities for my business, and yet, I sit paralyzed because I can't make a decision about what I should do first. I don't want to choose the wrong idea, make a mistake and be taken down a path that leads nowhere.

HELP!!!

Neagle Code Answer

First, there is no such thing as a mistake.

Everything you do, regardless of the results you experience, is bringing you closer to truth. All of those experiences force you to grow, and in the growth, you begin to discover who you are and what you want for your life.

Many entrepreneurs hesitate to get started on an idea because they are afraid of making a mistake.

Actually they aren't afraid of the mistake itself, they are afraid of what other people will think about their decision and outcome.

So you must first DECIDE.

Choose ONE of your ideas. Ideally it would be the idea that would take you to your goals the quickest, but if you can't see that, just choose one that inspires you the most.

Then take ACTION on that decision. Don't worry about the results, don't fret about what people will think, and don't stop.

You see Spirit won't
give you your entire plan.

You must take action on the first step before the 2nd step will be shown. If you never take action, you'll never see the next opportunity.

If you should fall flat on your first idea, be grateful for what you've learned from it, and continue to look for the next opportunity.

It WILL be there.

You will either win or you will learn, in which case, either outcome is a GIFT.

Are you being you?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

How do I know if my personal life may be affecting my success? I'm in a strained relationship currently and I'm experiencing chaos in my business as well which is resulting in a month-by-month financial loss. Is this related or two totally separate issues I need to look at?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks so much for your question!

How you do anything is how you do everything, but there are some questions you can ask yourself to determine if your personal relationships could be affecting your success.

As Vernon Howard so eloquently states, “Behave the way you really are, even if it ends a relationship. Never suppress yourself in an effort to influence, hold, or win someone. When we are unreal, so are our rewards. To say this in another way, never behave the way you think the other person wants you to behave, but in the manner you must. Nothing you really need to do or have ever requires a yielding to a person or custom.”

If you find yourself making decisions or stopping yourself for fear of what someone else will think, say or react, then you really need to take a close look at that relationship.

Is that you?

Are you true to yourself, or do you make decisions based on what you believe your partner may feel, think or say?

Be honest with yourself.

In a healthy relationship, both people should have the room and freedom that they need to foster their own growth. You have a responsibility to yourself to pursue your dreams, and if they don't agree; they have the option to accept your desires or leave the relationship.

Feeling cursed?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from A.G.

Neagle Code Question

David,

Please help…

I am in a never-ending cycle. I can never get in front of my finances. I work hard and try to stay positive, but as soon as I see a glimpse of financial success, something happens. I get fired, I lose my clients and business contacts, and the cycle begins again.

How can I break this curse I'm in?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for the question A.G.!

First, stop seeing this pattern as a curse or you'll never see the gift this situation is trying to bring to you.

I've seen this cycle in just about every level of business — whether the owner is making only 40,000 per year and is just able to keep their head above water, or the owner is making 3 million a year and is barely able to keep their head above water.

This cycle does not discriminate.

The truth is that you're experiencing this because there is something that you don't understand.

I've seen this cycle manifest for many different reasons, including:

  • A fear of what people will think if they DO become wealthy
  • The “pressure and release” phenomenon, where you only have your foot on the gas when your sense of urgency is at it's highest, and then when the pressure is off, you simply either stop or coast
  • Guilt and shame. If deep down you think you're not worthy of the money and success, you'll sub-consciously sabotage it EVERY time.

But know this: If you're creating this in your life, it's serving you in some way, even if you want to scream at me that this is NOT serving you… IT IS.

So ask yourself this: How does this cycle serve me?

Does it:

  • Keep you small and safe?
  • Keep you a victim so you feel significant?
  • Keep you from rocking the boat in your life or upsetting someone?
  • Keep you loyal to someone… meaning was this also a pattern of a family member?

I assure you, if you get really honest with yourself you'll see how you caused the results you experienced.

This truth is one of the
MAJOR Keys to Success

The financial roller coaster is what puts thousands out of business each year. And it's why I'm going to be teaching a FREE class on this exact topic on February 20th. I'll go into great detail to help everyone on the call see how to create what they want with ease and grace.

Feeling ripped off?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Rebecca B.

Neagle Code Question

Up until about a couple of weeks ago, I was working with a coach. The reason I stopped working with her is that I wasn't bringing in enough from my business to make my monthly payments. So after becoming 30 days past due, we terminated the contract.

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Rebecca,

As long as you stay in anger and blame, you will continue to repeat this pattern…and it will continue to be repeated until you learn the lesson it has to teach you.

Let me explain.

You are the creator of everything you experience in life.

All the good AND
all the bad.

It's easy to see all the gifts and lessons in the good things…and not quite as easy to see the gifts and lessons in all the “not so good” things.

If you can move through the anger and blame, and take responsibility for this, you'll begin to start seeing the lesson.

And the lesson in your situation is simple, as the Laws always are.

Whenever money stops flowing into your life, it's because you are in resistance.

Remember the Universe is completely deductive in nature. This means that if you are in resistance, the Universe can't bring you what you desire…it will reflect that resistance to you.

When you are in surrender and flow, the Universe will in turn respond and what you desire will flow easily to you.

So ask yourself this: During my coaching, what was I resisting?

Were you resisting:

  • being seen?
  • raising your prices?
  • making sales calls?
  • asking for a sale?
  • spending money on marketing?
  • going to places where your clients could be found?

I assure you, if you get really honest with yourself you'll see how you caused the results you experienced.

And the gift in that is that you can now CONSCIOUSLY create a new
(and better) experience.

Resistance is a HUGE barrier…actually one of THE barriers…to success. And it's why I'm going to be teaching a FREE class on this exact topic on February 20th. I'll be going into great detail to help everyone on the call see how they can flip from resistance and struggle to ease and grace.

Faith and expectations

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from James B.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

Over the years I have read works by Wattles, Allen and Holliwell, and have been trained by Proctor. I do good work with clients, but I cannot understand “faith”. I have no religious beliefs. I believe I'm a good person and strive to help all people achieve the success they desire.

Because I seemingly have no faith, and you mention God, Spirit, Source, and use other terms, how do I get over this faith “emptiness” I have and really move forward in my life and business, please?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi James,

Without faith, you wouldn’t be able to create anything in your life.

So when you say you have no faith, you are incorrect.

You had faith that you could help people, and so you did.

Faith is an expectation.

If you’ve read Wattles, Allen and Holliwell, you will notice there is no mention of faith in terms of religion.

The faith they speak of is a faith in the power of our own ability to create what we want when we want it… the power of our own belief in what is possible and how expectation (faith) is an integral part of anything that you create.

I encourage you to re-examine your understanding of faith, and release the idea that you must have faith in some outside force (God, religion).

Instead, continue to study truth in terms of Universal Law, and practice having faith in The Laws.

Comfort zone, Dead zone

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David, and thanks for taking my question!

My problem is that I think I'm too comfortable. I believe I have a deep desire to build my own business, but it seems I stop before I even start. I spend my time “thinking” rather than “doing”. And I think it's important to mention that I don't NEED to bring in money. I do WANT to though…

Neagle Code Answer

Hi!

The truth in your situation is that you just don't want it bad enough.

You're content to stay where you are, and there's nothing really that's creating a sense of urgency for you.

In these instances,
YOU have to create
the sense of urgency.

Let me explain…

Until your burning desire is greater than your need for comfort, nothing will change.

Growth is uncomfortable. Without the discomfort we don't grow. And if you're not growing, it's going to be near impossible to help someone else grow.

Ask yourself:

What in your life is keeping you comfortable?

  • Is it a job you show up to everyday?
  • Is it your savings account?
  • Is it your safe group of people around you?

What specifically do you fall back on as that safety net?

In order for you to move past this, you have to identify that safety net and burn it.

Then you have to fall deeply, madly and 100% in love with your desires.

You see, the juice of life lies beyond your comfort zone…

As we grow and expand, we can then enrich the lives of others.

Why bother?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Carla T.

Neagle Code Question

David,

I’ve simply stopped setting goals. I resist even thinking about goals because my pattern is to not follow through. It’s happened so many times, that I think to myself, “Why bother…”

How do I finally break this pattern?

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for the question!

I’m going to skip trying to understand why you’re sabotaging yourself and go right to the solution.

If you’re really committed to changing this, do exactly as I tell you below and sooner rather than later you’ll be on your way to success!

First, start with DAILY goals.

That’s right. We’re not talking about 6 and 12-month goals right now, we’re going to start small and build to strengthen your self-confidence muscle over time.

Tonight before you go to bed, take out your notebook and pen and right down

THREE things you MUST accomplish before
you go to bed tomorrow.

I recommend that these be income generating “things”, but it’s ultimately up to you. Sometimes it’s best to start REALLY small.

When you wake up tomorrow, put that list in front of you, and DO NOT GO TO BED THAT NIGHT until all 3 of those items are completed.

You must be disciplined here…do not allow yourself to make excuses and DO NOT GO TO BED until you’ve checked those three things off your list.

Do the same thing tomorrow night.

Write down three ”things” you need to accomplish the next day, and the next day, don’t go to sleep until all 3 things are accomplished.

Setting these small, yet important, goals are small stair steps to your bigger goal and to developing the discipline, confidence and trust within yourself to succeed in whatever you put your mind to.

Once you master the daily goals, begin setting weekly goals on top of your daily goals!

You’ll gain momentum quickly and break the pattern of not following through.
