Coronavirus Resource Guide

Over the last week, I’ve received countless emails, texts, DMs, and phone calls from people all over the world asking for help to understand the current situation and navigate it in a way that produces the best possible outcome for everyone involved.

It’s unsettling to be experiencing something we’ve never experienced before…in this instance the playing field has changed overnight, and with each day it seems we learn something new that changes something else we thought we had a handle on.

I know…it’s hard to stay centered and focused…it’s hard to help our children understand what’s happening without instilling fear…it’s hard to take care of ourselves when we’re worried about finances, food and our own families.

But the truth is we are ALL in this together…and we WILL get through this!

My team and I are committed to doing everything we can to support our community (you) in weathering this storm, so that we all come out the other side better, stronger, smarter, and filled with hope and happiness.

First things first.

There is a lot of information circulating out there. Lots of confusing “facts”, projections and opinions.

What we do know is that we all need to stay home… social distancing is real. It has been proven to work; we all need to abide by this in order to flatten the curve.

Please do your part.

We are here and we HEAR your concerns and frustrations.

Our entire team is working tirelessly to help address the topics of concern for you, your business and family. We are offering several opportunities to get up-to-date information via podcast and live stream as well as the option to connect with one of our coaches who can offer invaluable insight in addition to making you aware of future events that will help you achieve future goals.

And, I’m offering a FREE 4-Part Training called How to Navigate Fear and Uncertainty.

I’ll be teaching:

  • How to evaluate a situation so you can make a decision based in truth rather than fear.
  • How to regulate and control your own emotions in the face of uncertainty.
  • How to manage time when you are experiencing a constant state of change.
  • How to tap into your own innate resourcefulness and think outside the box.
  • How to help others navigate fear and hysteria.

As we embark on this new journey; we are forced to face our fears head on. As terrifying as this can be it is also an exciting time. A catalyst to put new behaviors into play. To take a hard look at patterns that are holding you back from being your best self. Below are a few links to previously recorded episodes on topics to help you navigate these choppy waters.

Life Can Change in an Instant

We are all in the same boat. Constantly coming up with ways to adapt and go with the flow are crucial. Old ways may not work going forward. You must be open to new ideas, new opportunities and new audiences.

For example, if you host in person events or meetings, you may want to consider hosting a virtual event, virtual cocktail hour, virtual office hours, or even virtual dinners!

Let’s get creative and focus on how we can versus why we can’t!

Below are some resources from my events and media team that I think you’ll find VERY valuable:

If you want to learn how to shoot, edit, and distribute video:

Sean Cannell on YouTube – Specializing in Digital Branding, Building YouTube Channels, Livestreaming, & Camera Reviews

Film Riot – YouTube – Specializing in Camera, Lighting, and Filmmaking Tips

Mt. Mograph – YouTube – For Advance Custom Graphic Design and Motion Graphics Branding

A few other awesome channels to check out all on YouTube:
Peter McKinnon, Casey Neistat, & Indy Mogul

If you want to host a live stream or virtual event:

Zoom.com
Livestream.com
Facebook Live (Free)
Instagram Live (Free)
YouTube LiveStream (Free but Accounts with 1,000+ Subscribers can stream with mobile devices)

If you want to put more content out on Social Media Platforms:

Available on Apple and Android:
Canva (Multimedia Graphic Design App)
Made (Photo Graphic Enhancer)
Collage (photo collage maker)
Buffer (Social Media Content Scheduler)

Life is all about reinventing yourself. This forced isolation is the perfect time to do an evaluation of your daily habits both work-related and personal.
Make sure you’re setting boundaries with your time, and use your calendar to stay on track with tasks and personal time as well.

We have to get creative with how we care for our mind, body and soul as well. While most gyms, yoga studios, massage spas are closed that shouldn’t stop you from taking care of yourself. Get outside, go for a walk, stretch. Breathe!! Spend time with your pets and in nature.
Staying physically fit is crucial during times of high stress.
Exercise keeps your body in check.

If you’re looking for financial assistance here are a few things you should know:

Apply for a Disaster Relief Loan

Required to apply for an SBA loan:

  1. Three years of personal and business tax returns. Personal tax returns are for any individual who owns 20% or more of the company.
  2. Try to get your 2019 tax returns done as soon as possible. But if they are not close the lender is going to need your 2019 year end financials
  3. A personal financial statement for any owner who owns more than 20% of the company. A link to download can be found here
  4. A debt schedule for your business. A link can be found here
  5. Go into your Quickbooks and figure out your monthly operating expenses from March through September of last year. If this is not clear ask your bookkeeper or accountant for help. This data will be an important part of your loan application.
  6. For Canadians all 6 major banks are allowing for mortgage deferrals AND the BDC (Business Bank of Canada) has been given money to give out in loans to small businesses. The wait is 5-10 days to get approved.

With all my love,

The wealthy mindset embraces fear. Here’s why

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Brett J.

Neagle Code Question

If fear, worry and doubt are programmed in our minds, it seems inevitable that they will surface at some point after I make a decision. How do I suppress or eliminate them?

Neagle Code Answer

You are absolutely correct that fear, worry and doubt may surface, especially once you’ve made a decision to do something new or even if you are in the decision-making process.

Fear, doubt and worry show up in different ways for each person, depending on their programming.

The problem is that we’ve been taught that fear is a bad thing…something to avoid or eliminate. In fact, the Middle Class Mindset is focused on completely avoiding fear altogether.

But the truth is successful people know how to use fear, worry and doubt to create what they want.

The Wealth Mindset actually embraces fear as an indicator, and seeks to understand the hidden messages in worry and doubt.

Most people spend their lives running from fear, but successful people have a completely different understanding, and I believe it’s so important that I’m going to be hosting a FREE virtual training titled:

The Crossroads of Success: Two Critical Decisions You Must Make to Transform Fear and Anxiety. It’s coming up on June 13th at 1:00 pm ET. In this training I’m going to explain how you can actually welcome fear, doubt and worry and use them as a catalyst for your own success. I’ll show you how to take your power back and stop letting fear control you.

If you’d like to join me, CLICK HERE and get all the details.

Because you see Brett, trying to suppress or eliminate fear actually keeps you in the problem.

Why the Laws of the Universe are ALWAYS working

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Braden M.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

In your last article you said that the Laws are ALWAYS working. Can you explain what you mean by that?

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

I’d be happy to answer that question, Braden!

You’re operating under the Laws of the Universe whether you’re conscious of them or not.

You can’t manifest anything in this world without application of every one of the Laws. And you’re manifesting every second of every day….all the good and all the bad.

That’s why they’re called the Laws of the Universe.

Nothing escapes them.

Consider the Law of Gravity. Anything that is heavier than air is pulled toward the center of the earth.

It does not matter if you’re a scientist and you understand exactly how gravity works or if you’re completely ignorant of it.

If you fall down, you’re still going down, because we’re all subject to that law.

It’s the same with the seven Laws of the Universe.

They are absolute.

And they make no exception for ignorance.

If you’re not aware of the Law of Gravity and you walk off the end of a building, a great big hand is not going to come out of the sky and grab you because you didn’t know you would fall.

Similarly, the Laws of the Universe don’t change just because you weren’t aware of them or because you had a good intention.

You’re either following the Law or you’re not following the Law.

And you can tell by your results, which is the case. But either way the Laws are ALWAYS working!

[Fast Cash Formula Series] Article #12 ~ Choose the “Right” Opportunity For You

Numerous opportunities are around us at any given moment. We’re drawn to a particular seminar or we want to start teaching; we’re offered a new job or we consider going back to school.

One or two of these opportunities will take us closer to our goal, but others will not be beneficial. Our subconscious can disguise our opportunities ~ making them seem fortunate when they’re not or making them seem unfortunate when they’re the perfect one for you.

Remember my story about driving the fuel truck? That opportunity years ago was around me for two years while I worked on the loading dock, but rather than seeing it as an opportunity, I used to say, “Why would anyone want to drive a bomb on wheels?”

And, yet, it was the right opportunity for me because, through it, I doubled my income while conquering the fear of fire that had been programmed in me at a very young age.

Seeing the true nature of your opportunities is crucial. That’s why, last time, I gave you an exercise to help you do just that. Today, I’m going to show you how to choose the right opportunity, the one that will take you to your goal.

You’ll need your answers to the last exercise, so here it is again:

Exercise:

Unmask Your Opportunities

Step 1. Write down your “need,” the amount to the penny of your monthly bills. If you are meeting your need every month, write down what you want, your financial goal.

Step 2. Make a list of every opportunity that comes to mind that could help you meet your need or want. No matter how far-fetched or unappealing or scary the idea may seem, write it down.

Step 3. Every opportunity has at least one challenge associated with it ~ something that makes you think the opportunity would be difficult or impossible to pull off. The most common challenges are not enough money or time, issues with a loved one or prior commitments. Look at your list and write down the challenges that arise as you think about each opportunity.

Step 4. Each challenge you wrote down is another opportunity in disguise. It’s an opportunity for you to overcome that challenge and grow. Look at your list of challenges and imagine the opportunities they are presenting for you.

The Right Opportunity Is Key

The right opportunity + action = success. Every time, without fail. Since you may still have a few viable options on your list, to help you narrow the field to the best one, run each of your opportunities through the following four questions and only these four questions.

Question 1. Is this opportunity something I want to be, do or have?

If your answer is “yes” move on to Question 2.

If you answered no, move on to your next opportunity. However, to make sure that you’re seeing the true nature of your opportunity, look at your list of disguised opportunities in the challenges that you associated with this opportunity in Step 4 above. Is one or more of those disguised opportunities something you want do, be or have? If you answered no to the opportunity, but yes to the disguised opportunity, move on to Question 2.

For instance, if I answered this question with, “Hell no, I don’t want to drive a bomb on wheels,” I would then ask myself if I wanted to conquer my fear of fire while doubling my income. Of course, my answer would be yes, so I would move on to Question 2.

Question 2. Will the opportunity take me closer to my goal?

Be really honest. If your need is $5K a month and your opportunity is a full-time job for $20/hr., it will not help you meet your goal. Instead, it will further ensnare you where you are. If your answer is “yes” move on to Question 3.

Question 3. Is the opportunity in harmony with the laws of the universe, the primary law of more life?

“More life” means more freedom, abundance, prosperity, etc. Would the opportunity bring you more life? If your answer is “yes” move on to Question 4.

Question 4. Would this opportunity violate the rights of others?

Would it take away someone else’s choice? For example, if an opportunity would have you be secretive or deceptive with your spouse, you’re violating his or her right of choice because you’re making decisions that will affect your spouse, but not including him or her in the decision. You’re looking for the answer “no” to Question 4.

If you get three yeses and a no, the opportunity will move you in the right direction and you can feel confident about taking it.

After running each of your opportunities through the four questions, you may end up with one clear winner or you may find that a couple of them will actually work together to help you reach your goal.

In any case, your next step is to seize the opportunity and see it all the way through to its conclusion. I’ll talk to you about that next time.

Due to lack of money …

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Paras.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

Wattles tells us: “Use your present job or business to go to the one you like … act on your present environment to go to a better one.” But suppose a man is completely unemployed? What does he do? And, due to lack of money, if he's forced to live in a tiny, ramshackle room in a squalid neighborhood full of failures and derelicts who blame destiny, Saturn, fate line, etc, for their misfortunes, how does he act on it to get to a better environment

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Paras and thanks for your question!

What Wattles, writes is absolutely true. He's really referring to being your best in ANY situation, which then leads to an awareness of how your situation can change.

I think the main thing I am picking up from your question, is that somewhere “he” is looking at “his” current situation as a victim looks at a situation.

The truth is, no one is forced to do anything, and the “he” you are speaking of is the cause of creating the situation to begin with.

If a person feels they are forced to live in horrible conditions due to lack of money, it means that they are being a victim of their own life.

Spirit doesn't give one person unlimited potential and then cap the potential of the guy sitting next to him.

When Wattles teaches to act on the present environment, he is teaching that we need to change who WE are or how WE are thinking so that we can see that we have a different choice that will lead us up and out.

A victim will only see what keeps him being a victim.

Instead of being a victim, one needs to be empowered. Instead of focusing on the negative, we must ask ourselves different questions.

Instead of feeling forced to live in substandard conditions, one must seek out the way to bring in the money, even if it's to begin in a minimum wage job.

Each step and decision will lead to a new and better opportunity only if the person truly wants to change.

I made a lot of mistakes, now what?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

My business has gone through a lot of changes this year – mostly because of mistakes that I made partnering with the wrong people. I have made the changes to get out of that situation, and since then I have been struggling to figure out what I really want. I believe I want passive income, and to help business owners succeed using my knowledge of business management best practices, but not sure how to change the way things are now to achieve that.

I just started reading your book, and finding it helpful. I would love your feedback.

Neagle Code Answer

Hi and thanks for your question. After reading this a second time, I think you are actually asking me two questions.

The first question was about figuring out what you want.

Many people who I have had the pleasure of teaching over the years, have struggled with figuring out what they want. Part of the problem is that as a child, you were probably taught that you couldn't have what you wanted. Being told this over and over again, shut down your capacity to dream or even fantasize about what you want.

Here's a sure fire way to help you.

Sit down with a pen and a piece of paper and make a list of ALL the things you are tolerating in your life. By ALL I mean everything in your personal life AND your business life. Write down the smallest little annoyances, and also the really big things.

Once your list is complete, go to work on changing those things.

Pretty soon, you'll realize that you are beginning to see clearly what you want.

Your second question was about not knowing how to change to achieve what you want.

Change always starts with a decision.

This can be tricky.

If you are deciding what you want based on the perceived “problems” of the change that will need to be made, you will never make a decision.

Start with your list of tolerations.

Then decide what you want.

Finally, begin taking action toward that change.

And always remember, change is messy.

If it were easy, everyone would be wealthy.

In the end, it is those who are willing to change, adapt and grow that achieve the most success in life.
