How Do I Find My Purpose?
This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.
My question is simple: How do I find my purpose?
Because I have received this question multiple times in the last couple of days, Iām going to address it directly on.
Finding your purpose comes from knowing who you truly are and what you desire.
Your purpose is already within you and it isnāt something you look for outside yourself.
Iām sure youāve heard my story about my boating accident where I almost died after being sucked into a dam. When I was hanging onto a tree branch for dear life, I made a promise to God that I would figure out why I hadnāt been able to do the things that I knew I should have been doing. And then do them.
Right after the accident, nothing happened. God didnāt tell me what to do. After much frustration, I realized God wasnāt going to tell me what to do. I had to make that decision myself. I started by asking myself, āWhat am I going to do with the rest of my life?ā
At first I didnāt know the answer. I kept asking myself the question and then answers began to come forward. The first three answers I received and acted upon were to:
1. Change my attitude
2. Treat everyone with total respect
3. Do everything to the best of my ability.
Now, this didnāt immediately give me the answer to my life purpose. It did help me to change and to raise my awareness. Whenever we raise our awareness, we discover more of who we truly are. The more we know who we truly are, the more answers were given about our unique gifts we have to share with the world.
The key here is to continue to ask yourself conscious questions to raise your awareness of who you are. Everyday, ask yourself, āWhat am I going to do with the rest of my life?ā and āWhat do I really want?ā
Just as I did and continue to do, follow the answers you are given as if they were bread crumbs creating a path and you will find yourself living your āpurpose.ā

Hi,
In my job, people often come and say – I don’t know what to do in my life. I don’t feel any passion to anything. I don’t feel attracted to any job. I could do this and that but I don’t feel any positive emotions to anything.
How to servce such people? How to help them find a path to their passion?
Hi Mariusz, the answer is simple. You can’t! In order to be of service in this situation you cannot help someone find their passion, that is an inside job. What you can do is ask them questions around what they are good at and where they see themselves moving forward. It’s not your responsibility to ignite the passion in someone else. I appreciate the post.
