Blaming your competition?!?
This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Judy Katz. You can find her on the web at www.wealthtransformations.com
Question:
How can I break out of the pattern of being the best kept secret when it comes to my business? I fall back with the thought that so many people do what I do. How am I different, etc
Answer:
I’m going to cut right to the chase with this one…
The truth is that there is no such thing as competition.
There is only one YOU. There may be 5,000 different people who teach what you teach, sell what you sell, or provide what you provide, but there is only one Judy Katz! You bring your gift to the world through you, and there isn’t another you and so there cannot be competition!
AND
You’re using this excuse to stay hidden and small.
So the real question to answer would be; what are you afraid of that’s keeping you the best kept secret when it comes to your business?
I know that Spirit wants more for you than you want for yourself. Your purpose on this planet is NOT to stay hidden.
So, my question to you is…how is it serving you to stay small? Now, before you react, take a moment and really think about it.
What would happen if you really stepped into your purpose and became the huge success you know you would be?
Would it mean that your relationship with your friends or family would change?
Would it mean that you’d need to let go of something that you weren’t so sure you could let go of?
Would it mean that others may judge you?
You’re staying small for a reason, and it’s been a choice of yours to do so. The key to getting out of your own way is to become aware of what you are resisting. What are you not willing to do that’s keeping you stuck?
You also have to understand that if you continue to stay small, you are doing a disservice to those people who are looking for your help. Remember, if you have the desire, the way to fulfill it is waiting for you.
It just starts with a decision to get very honest with yourself about why you are choosing to stay hidden and then begin to walk right through those fears.
Once you become aware of your fears, you must bring the truth to it and TAKE ACTION!
Each day when you wake up, write down the 6 most important things that to be done that day to bring you closer to the goal.
Practice this every day.
It will take discipline, but it’s the most important habit you can develop as it will have a DIRECT impact on the success of your business.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, David. As I brush away the tears from being touched by the truth of what you have said in your answer to me, I feel peace and acceptance for what I have been up to, resisting to avoid being judged by others.
I accept your practices and appreciate you reminding me that there are others that I really can help in my own unique way. The comparison devil is shrinking in my light of awareness and truth! Thank you!

You’re welcome Judy! Thanks for the post.
Great questions to ask. But at the same time it can be scary, because, I think it is the Fear of success that holds us back, most of the time. Also, most of these fears are not true. I agree with you about doing 6 things that need to be done towards reaching the goal, every day. In fact, I make it a point to focus on a goal in each area-Physical, mental, Spiritual, Business, financial, family, Social, Academic and Career. That way, I tend to set small goals, but gives me a sense of fulfillment. When we watch ourselves truly achieving what we committed to, it raises our self esteem, makes us more confident and helps lead a balanced life.
Thanks Lalitha. It sounds like you have found a perfect set of strategies that work for you, each of which allows you to continue moving forward with confidence. Great awareness leads to great things. I appreciate your comments.
David, beautiful insight. Thank you for this week’s answer.
Judy, having seen your light shine the other day through our beautiful conversation, I can see the uniqueness of your approach; the special intention behind what you do. You have big and beautiful things to bring forth.
Hi C.J.,
You are so sweet and I thank you so very much. I see beautiful things to come forth in you too! I feel that many of us are answering the call to shine brighter than ever before!
You’re welcome CJ! Thank you for the kind words and I look forward to hearing from you as you progress forward.
Thanks David! Yes – we often play ‘small’ and actually deep down have a fear to play’ big’. It is not easy to get to the truth, though it is achievable! 🙂
You are welcome Solvita! Playing small serves no one, so let’s all commit to playing BIG and see what a major difference we can make in this world. We are needed! Appreciate the post.
