How to attract clients who can afford your services

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Help! I don’t seem to be attracting the people who can afford my programs. I have conversations with them, and just by what they are telling me, I know they can’t afford my services. Most of the time I don’t even offer what I know they need because I know they can’t afford it. How can I attract people who can pay for my services?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for this question!!

But hold on a second…if you don’t ask for the sale, how do you know they can’t afford what they need?

You don’t have a client problem, you have a sales problem, and the answer is simple…

You need to step into being the expert that you are.

Let me give you an example I often use.

Let’s say you have a problem. You’re experiencing chest pain. You rush to the doctor and he runs some tests. He discovers that you need open-heart surgery.

He comes back into the room to tell you his recommendation, but he looks at you and determines that you can’t afford open-heart surgery.

So instead he clips your toenails and sends you on your way.

That doctor has broken a Universal Law. He has taken away your right to choose.

How does that make you feel? Probably not very good, because you’ll have a heart attack without that surgery.

The above scenario isn’t much different than what you’re doing with the people who are coming to you for help.

You are the expert, and the truth is, if their sense of urgency is high enough, the money will be there.

Don’t take away someone’s right to choose what’s best for them because you’ve judged that they can’t afford what they really need.

Always remember the Law of Polarity… if someone has a desire, the opportunity MUST be there.

This means, if they want help, they must have a way to pay for it!

If you’re having a hard time grasping this concept, I invite you to join me for 3 days this July where I’ll be doing in depth teachings on how faith makes everything happen and how by understanding the Universal Laws, you can always side with the TRUTH to help yourself and others.

Should I stop when things get difficult?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!

I recently heard a pretty well known speaker in this industry say that if something is too difficult, it’s the Universe telling you that you’re doing the wrong thing.

I’m pretty sure you disagree with that, but I would like to hear in your words how you inspire your clients to overcome this particular block when so many “gurus” out there are convincing people to stop when things get tough.

Neagle Code Answer

You’re correct…I completely disagree.

Unfortunately people who stop when things get difficult miss out on the experience of growth.

You see difficulty is only a perception.

Let me make a distinction here.

I’m not talking about difficulty in a physical sense. Let’s be honest, lifting a freight train with your bare hands WOULD be difficult.

I’m talking about the feeling of difficulty. Or better yet, the “excuse” of difficulty.

So let’s play with a scenario.

Bob really wants to create a flourishing coaching business. His friends have always told him that he’s a great listener and he’s helped many people see their goals to completion.

Bob has his website up, he blogs regularly, and he’s all set to fill up his calendar with clients.

Except Bob doesn’t have any clients.

To have clients, Bob would need to get out from behind his computer and talk to people.

He hasn’t done this because approaching and talking to people is difficult for him.

If he were to stop here, he wouldn’t grow his business, and he’d probably end up taking a part-time job to pay his bills.

The truth is that talking to people is not difficult. It doesn’t take a great deal of physical strength to shake someone’s hand and introduce yourself.

But to Bob it’s difficult because he’s in fear. It’s difficult because of what’s going on between his two ears.

Underneath it all, Bob is terrified to meet new people because he’s afraid of being judged by them. He’s afraid they’ll think he’s salesy and they’ll reject him.

And what he doesn’t understand is that the door to his success lies in stepping through that fear so he can create a new experience and reprogram those old beliefs.

So whenever you feel resistance to anything in your life, ask yourself:

WHAT AM I AFRAID OF?

And then do it any way, because fear is a lie and the truth will set you free.

What fear-based thoughts are going on between your two ears?! Let’s put them in their place: I invite you to sign up for my newest (no-cost) 60-minute mini-course called Mental Chatter Mayhem at this link:

Why am I afraid to charge what I am worth?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

All but one part of my life “clicks.” My bills are paid. My relationships are fantastic. I love what I do and am super happy except for this one thing.

I find it gut-wrenching to charge for my work. I rarely charge what the work was worth. I am excellent at what I do, and have great testimonials. I feel like I have a good self-esteem. I just prefer to do what I love and let the Universe provide.

I'd like to step up my income and move to the next level, which will mean charging what my quality of work is worth. Can you help?

Neagle Code Answer

I love this question…

I need to tell you something, and I’m typing it with nothing but love.

You don’t have a healthy self-esteem.

If you did, you wouldn’t be afraid of the rejection you would have to deal with when you begin to charge what you’re worth.

Above you said that you’re excellent at what you do, and that you have great testimonials. So tell me, if this is the case, why would you find it gut-wrenching to charge for your work?

You prefer to do what you love and let the Universe provide because you are afraid of what will need to happen for you to grow. You would need to stand in your power, be confident and not be afraid of hearing the word, “no”.

And let me tell you something, the Universe doesn’t “provide” anything. It does what you tell it to do. You DECIDE, and the Universe responds. And right now you are creating just enough to get by.

You see Spirit doesn’t speak to you through fear, therefore, it’s not Spirit that’s making it gut-wrenching to charge for your services.

It’s your ego.

Your ego knows that you are afraid of rejection and judgment from others, and so it uses that belief to stop you from growing.

Charging what you’re worth means that you would need to grow into being that person, and that’s something your ego DOES NOT want you to do because it views any kind of growth as a risk.

So, what are the services you offer worth?

Pick a number.

Can you see yourself feeling good about asking for that price for what you offer?

Write it down and practice saying it out loud. Make it feel real to you.

THEN

In your next sales conversation ask for that price.

It’s the only way to push through that gut-wrenching fear.

Why you are not getting the results you desire

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Regina J.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I’ve been stuck for a really long time. It seems that every time I try something, I don’t get results. It’s becoming very hard to believe in The Laws, when I’m continually NOT getting what I “desire”. I feel like I’m constantly swimming upstream! Can you help?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for your honesty, Regina.

First I want to point out that whether you believe in The Laws or not, they are at work 100% of the time.

Just like gravity.

Gravity doesn’t really care if you believe in it or not, but if you step off a roof, you’re going to hit the ground. The Laws are the same.

You are manifesting every second of every day whether you realize it or not.

And just so I’m clear, manifesting is becoming aware of what is already here.

Second, I want to point out that you ARE getting results. They may not be the results that you want or expect, but they are results nonetheless.

So my question is two fold…

What are you doing with the results that you are getting? Those results are a gift because they are giving you direction, they are telling you what you need to be doing differently.

My hunch is that if you got right down to it, you know what you should be doing differently, but you’re resisting it because of fear.

Take some time and be honest with yourself. Sit quietly and really THINK.

WHAT ARE YOU RESISTING?

The Universe isn’t going to give you the next step if you haven’t completed the one that’s right in front of you.

You MUST do what you fear doing.

The second part of my question is this…

Are you studying? Are you looking for direction and inner knowledge?

To this day I study. My books go with me wherever I go, and if you look at my most successful students, you will see that they too study.

To allow the Laws to work with you, you must understand them. Not just know they exist. You must experience them and really understand the truth in them.

I recommend Raymond Holliwell’s, Working With The Law. Start small, read paragraphs over, let it really sink in; and then begin to see where The Laws are working in everything you see.

How to tell the difference between your next step and a “shiny new object”

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Bob W.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I just read last week’s blog and I have a clarifying question. I understand you can’t make a mistake; but how do you know when the next step is in front of you, or if it's just the next shiny new thing that's trying to manipulate your time and energy?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for the question!

I answered this in a previous blog a couple of years ago, so I’m going to repost it for you below.

First it’s important to know if you have a clear-cut goal. You can’t decide what the next step is if you don’t know where you are going to begin with.

If you don’t have a goal, set some time aside and get very clear about what you’d like the end result to be.

If you already know what the goal is, ask yourself if there is something that you’re resisting doing that’s keeping you from that goal.

Often times, if there’s a subconscious fear in taking action, something shiny will pop up to distract you.

You’ll need to be very honest with yourself about this, as your mind will create stories around why you’re resisting something.

Let me give you an example:

If your goal is to enroll more clients, and you KNOW your next step is to make sales calls, but instead you sign up for a class to learn how to build a website, you’re using the website class as a distraction.

And the insidious thing is that you will have yourself convinced that when you finish the class, you’ll magically have those new clients enrolled.

When you really want a clear gauge to help you make a decision, I always recommend that you turn to the FOUR QUESTIONS.

So let’s use the example above and run it through using the FOUR QUESTIONS.

1) Is this something I want to be, do or have? In the instance of the web class, yes.

2) Is being, doing or having this taking me closer to my goal? In this instance, the answer would be no because it would be taking the person farther from it. They already know that the most direct way to enroll clients is to make sales calls.

3) Is being, doing or having this in alignment with Universal Law (more life to all)? Yes

4) Does being, doing or having this violate the rights of others (does it take away someone else’s right to choose)? No

The determining factor in using these questions is that you must answer yes to the first three questions, and no to the fourth.

Since the answer to the 2nd question was a no, this person would not choose to take the web class. Instead they would focus on working through their resistance to sales calls.

When experiencing indecision, use the four questions above to help you see clearly which direction to take.

How to set boundaries to protect your personal life

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Tina F.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I’m becoming aware that I have a boundary issue… meaning I don’t have boundaries around my business life and my personal life. My business is bleeding into every area of my life. Even my friendships and relationships are steeped in my business to the point where I feel like I can’t have a genuine conversation without someone in my life asking for coaching or business tips. How to I start to set boundaries for myself?

Thanks!

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Tina, and thanks for this question.

The fact that you see your business life and personal life as one is a key indicator that you have not set proper boundaries for your life and in your relationships.

Your business life should be your business life, and your personal life should be your personal life.

Here are some suggestions on how to set proper boundaries:

1) Have a set start and end time to your day. Do not let your work invade your personal time. Work will always fill the time you allot it, so you may find that you are much more efficient when you have a limited time to work on your business. Use your calendar and stick to it!

2) Get involved in something outside your business. If you like to travel, join a travel club. If you like to read, join a book club. If you like to hike, join a hiking club. This will expose you to people who know nothing about your business, but still share the same interests that you do. They won’t want anything from you except your thoughts on your favorite destination, book, or hiking trail.

3) Schedule time with your current friends and gently let them know that you’re not open to a conversation about your business, and you don’t feel you can be their coach and their friend at the same time. You’d much rather be their friend. If you’re worried about what you’ll talk about, think about purchasing a small box of conversation starters. They are great to spark new and interesting conversations.

4) Do some journaling about who you are outside of your business. You need to begin to realize that your business is not your identity.

How to act decisively when overflowing with business ideas

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I know most people struggle with seeing opportunity…my problem is the opposite. I have LOTS of opportunities and ideas for my business, and yet, I sit paralyzed because I can’t make a decision about what I should do first. I don’t want to choose the wrong idea, make a mistake and be taken down a path that leads nowhere.
HELP!!!

Neagle Code Answer

First, there is no such thing as a mistake. Everything you do, regardless of the results you experience, is bringing you closer to truth. All of those experiences force you to grow, and in the growth, you begin to discover who you are and what you want for your life.

Many entrepreneurs hesitate to get started on an idea because they are afraid of making a mistake. Actually they aren’t afraid of the mistake itself, they are afraid of what other people will think about their decision and outcome.

So you must first DECIDE.

Choose ONE of your ideas. Ideally it would be the idea that would take you to your goals the quickest, but if you can’t see that, just choose one that inspires you the most.

Then take ACTION on that decision. Don’t worry about the results, don’t fret about what people will think, and don’t stop.

You see Spirit won’t give you your entire plan. You must take action on the first step before the 2nd step will be shown. If you never take action, you’ll never see the next opportunity.

If you should fall flat on your first idea, be grateful for what you’ve learned from it, and continue to look for the next opportunity. It WILL be there.

You will either win or you will learn, in which case, either outcome is a GIFT.

When your spouse doesn’t share your money mindset

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I’ve been studying your teachings for some time now, but my husband has no interest in wealth mindset. We both have very different beliefs around spending and it’s starting to create some problems for us, especially when we plan trips or larger purchases (like furniture). Do you have any suggestions on how to navigate this?

Neagle Code Answer

If you and your spouse have different beliefs around money, I recommend that you both start taking responsibility for yourselves.

Make your own money, have your own banking accounts, and split the joint bills and expenses.

If you want to save for a trip and he doesn’t, go without him or offer to cover the cost of the trip, but be prepared for him to do the same.

So many couples struggle with money, especially if one partner makes more than the other. Sometimes it works great and other times it’s incredibly disempowering for the person who is not the breadwinner.

If you feel like your decisions are limited by your husband’s money mindset, you need to have a heart to heart conversation with him, and let him know that from now on, you’ll both be responsible for the bills, but that everything else will go into separate accounts.

This gives him the freedom to do what he wants with his income, and it gives you the freedom as well.

It’s against the Universal Laws to ask him to change. This way, you’ll both have the freedom to believe what you want about money, and spend and save as you wish.

How can the Law of Cause and Effect help me make more sales?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I just listened to your training on the Law of Cause and Effect. On that call, you said we needed to take responsibility for everything because we are the initial cause of everything. I’m really stuck on something. If I’m 100% responsible for my sales, how do I make someone say yes to me?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi and thanks for your question!

The short answer is you can’t make someone say yes to you, and if you did you’d actually be breaking the Universal Laws.

The problem here is that you’re asking the wrong question. Instead of asking how can you make someone buy, you should be asking:

“Who do I need to be to hit my financial goals?” This you CAN take responsibility for.

• You can choose to show up in a spirit of service.

• You can choose to control your thinking to only focus on what you desire rather than what you don’t.

• You can choose to be the cause of the success you want.

• You can choose to really get out there, talk to people, engage in strategy sessions, and be your best self.

• You can choose to master the sales conversation so that you become a center of influence rather than a manipulator.

• You can choose to use the Laws correctly so that you hit your goals with ease and grace.

• You see money comes from Spirit through people…not from people. When you are attached to a sale, you are attached to a person, rather than being your best self.

When you focus on being that best self, and you are in control of your thinking, emotions and actions, Spirit will send you the opportunities to bring in the money, and it may not always come through the person you think it will.

Your question is extremely timely because:

I’m teaching the truth found in all the Universal Laws over the next several months in 4 different cities across the US.

I invite you to join me at a location of your choice to really begin to master these Laws and drastically change the results you’re getting in your business. Click here: www.IncomeAccelerationLaws.com to get all the details you need to get started!

Why do images help with goal setting?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Stephanie.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!

I stink at goal setting and it seems every expert has their own way of doing it. Can you explain goal setting and the why and how behind it?

Neagle Code Answer

I’d be happy to Stephanie, in fact, I just walked one of my private clients through this teaching last week!

We think in images. The beliefs that we have are images that are burned into the cells of our mind and everything in your life is an image.

When you change that image, you change how it operates in your life.

You should always work with a goal in a way where you’re turning it over to Spirit as a cause.

This is the Universal Law of Cause and Effect, which states that YOU are the cause of everything in your life.

Your job is to hold the new image and as you hold it, it becomes a cause set in motion.

Then as you become emotionally involved in your goals, you impress them upon your sub-conscious mind so that they become fixed.

The effect comes back and you experience it as a result, circumstance or change in environment.

Spirit operates inductively and will turn back over in physical form what ever you express to it.

Start off by writing the goal in the following way…

I’m so happy and grateful now that:

(Chunk all your goals down into 4-5 sentences so you can see it and touch and build that image everyday. It should be in the present tense as you want it to be here and now.)

You should be able to close your eyes and see and feel all those things.

If you do this activity and are still not seeing your goals materialize it may be because you are not being the cause needed to achieve the effect you desire.

Also Stephanie, your question is extremely timely because:

This coming week: I’m doing a much more in-depth, no-cost teaching on exactly this topic!

I invite you to join me as I teach about the Law of Cause and Effect and how you can be the cause of your success in 2016. Click here: www.DavidNeagle.com/onelaw to get all the info you need to join me on this 2-part mini-course!
