Project Too Big For A Calendar?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

I’m getting ready to do a big project —It’s going to be really intense.

I’ve heard you say, “Put everything you need to do on the calendar.” And my brain is partially rejecting that idea.

My brain is saying, “That’s great for regular stuff…but it’s not going to work for THIS project, because this is a big project.” Is that a lie?

Neagle Code Answer

Yes, it’s a lie. It’s a total lie.

Putting things on the calendar will work for every project, no matter how big or small it is.

Everyone gets the same 24 hours to work with. No matter how complex a project is, it can still be broken down into small pieces. The small pieces are no different than anything else you’ve been doing your entire life. It’s just that there are more pieces.

That’s how you eat an elephant.

You tell yourself, “I will endeavor to persevere. I will not expect it to happen overnight. It’s a big project, and I know how long it’s going to take — it’s a number, a specific timeframe.”

Even though it’s a huge project, calendaring is a process you can use no matter what you’re doing. Even if you’re on vacation, doing nothing, it could still be the process you use.

If a project is really big, ask yourself: what kind of support do you need in doing it?

And then give yourself that support.

Whether it’s reaching out to someone and saying, “Hey, I’m working on something really big and I may need somebody to talk to. It’s kind of stressful. Would you be willing to be a sounding board for me?” Or whatever you need. Do it.

If you need to give yourself a little extra time off around that project, do it. Give yourself the support you need to work through whatever you need to work through.

When you do that, you’re solving the problem consciously.

You know in advance things might get difficult. But you’re also acknowledging that, while giving yourself whatever support you need to move through it.

That’s where you grow, because you’re staying conscious throughout the whole process.

Lost? Find yourself by doing THIS

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

David… I HATE when someone asks me what I want. My brain literally goes blank when faced with that question. I have tried everything to get a clear picture of what I want and where I want to go, and all I see in my mind is static. Is there something I can do to help me get clear?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for the fantastic question!

Most people don’t spend enough time looking deeply at their own life.

Here’s what I suggest:

Take an entire day, and go sit in nature where it’s quiet.

(If you’re in a big city, and can’t find a quiet place… get everyone out of your house for the day, and spend the entire day just sitting alone).

Get yourself a notepad, pen, or pencil. (Don’t use the computer for this exercise.) Something magical happens when we put pen to paper.

Just sit there.

…And start writing whatever comes into your mind.

It doesn’t matter how crazy or off topic it seems… write it all down.

I’d suggest giving yourself a full 12 hours to do this exercise. Start early in the morning, maybe after you’ve showered. (The shower is more metaphorical than anything else. It’s like you’re cleansing yourself and your mind.)

Prepare yourself a cup of tea, coffee, fresh greens, or whatever you like. (No alcohol.)

Sit down, and be quiet. Be present. Pay attention to whatever is running through your mind. As different ideas and topics go through your mind, write them all down.

As you do this, you’ll begin to find a sense of “order” coming into your mind.

Your thoughts will become more orderly and clearer. They’ll become more directed.

Once you get the most “common” thoughts out of your head and on to the pape… you’ll find that new thoughts start coming to the surface… thoughts you’ve never had before.

You can ask yourself a question.

You could ask your subconscious mind, “Please show me what I want to do in life.” “Show me what my next goal is.” “What do I really desire?”

“Reveal to me what I want most. What do I want to be, do, or have?”

You could even drawn three columns on the page:

“Be” in the first column.
“Do” in the second column.
“Have” in the third column.

Write down anything that comes to mind in each column.

Eventually, you’ll start coming up with things that inspire you, things that bring you freedom, joy, happiness, and excitement.

As you write those things down, you’ll open the door for more of that “road” to reveal itself to you.

Scattered and Sucked Dry

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David! Here’s my question…

I feel like I’m being pulled in a hundred different directions. I’m a mom, a business owner with employees, a wife, a daughter, a neighbor, a church member, and I’m starting to feel like I’m losing touch with who I am outside of those roles. I wake up and go through the motions, making sure everyone is taken care of, but at the end of the day, I honestly feel sucked dry.

It’s beginning to scare me because it’s getting harder and harder to see where my business needs to go, and I’m actually starting to resent it. I’ve lost the spark I once had. How do I get that back, and still be the best version of myself?

Neagle Code Answer

Thanks for the great questions!

I think a lot of us are really raised with the idea that putting ourselves first is not really a good thing. And while I understand that sometimes putting everyone else before yourself can be a kind or generous thing, the hard truth of the matter is that if we don't put ourselves first in our mind as far as our own health, our own well-being, our own growth, then anything that we actually bring to the table for other people is kind of half-hearted and only at half-capacity.

One of the things that I like to teach people is put yourself first in your own life.

I know some of you might be thinking, “Well, that sounds kind of selfish David.” So let me explain…

When you put yourself first, you actually become the center of your life, not from an egotistical perspective, but from the perspective of:

  1. you have a specific purpose for being here,
  2. it's your responsibility to develop that purpose so that you can not only be a benefit to yourself, but you can be a benefit to other people, and
  3. that you have the ability to take care of your own needs so that you can help other people with their needs.

So let me ask you…

What are you doing that you really DON’T want to be doing?

If you look at all the roles you listed in your question and you make a list under each one of all the things you do, that you actually don’t want to do, how long would that list be?

And the next question for you is:

WHY are you doing these things? What are the excuses you tell yourself to keep yourself from living the life you REALLY want to live?

Are you:

  • Afraid to rock the boat?
  • Worried people will think you’re a bad person?
  • Concerned you’ll be perceived as greedy, selfish or lazy?
  • Controlled by guilt or shame?

The truth is that you’re holding yourself in this place because of a deep inner conflict…and you’re right, it’s sucking you dry.

Here’s how I can help you further with this…on Tuesday at 1pm ET, I’m hosting a FREE training that I’ve titled: How To Live Life on Your Own Terms. Join me, and I’ll share with you a process to help you start to turn this situation around and fall back in love with your life. CLICK HERE for all the details.

How Do I Find My Purpose?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

My question is simple: How do I find my purpose?

Neagle Code Answer

Because I have received this question multiple times in the last couple of days, I’m going to address it directly on.

Finding your purpose comes from knowing who you truly are and what you desire.

Your purpose is already within you and it isn’t something you look for outside yourself.

I’m sure you’ve heard my story about my boating accident where I almost died after being sucked into a dam. When I was hanging onto a tree branch for dear life, I made a promise to God that I would figure out why I hadn’t been able to do the things that I knew I should have been doing. And then do them.

Right after the accident, nothing happened. God didn’t tell me what to do. After much frustration, I realized God wasn’t going to tell me what to do. I had to make that decision myself. I started by asking myself, “What am I going to do with the rest of my life?”

At first I didn’t know the answer. I kept asking myself the question and then answers began to come forward. The first three answers I received and acted upon were to:

1. Change my attitude
2. Treat everyone with total respect
3. Do everything to the best of my ability.

Now, this didn’t immediately give me the answer to my life purpose. It did help me to change and to raise my awareness. Whenever we raise our awareness, we discover more of who we truly are. The more we know who we truly are, the more answers were given about our unique gifts we have to share with the world.

The key here is to continue to ask yourself conscious questions to raise your awareness of who you are. Everyday, ask yourself, “What am I going to do with the rest of my life?” and “What do I really want?”

Just as I did and continue to do, follow the answers you are given as if they were bread crumbs creating a path and you will find yourself living your “purpose.”

The REAL reason for the ups and downs

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

David, I have heard you say that everyone has the same amount of money, meaning that there’s not some force that allocates riches to some people and nothing to others. We actually all have the ability to become wealthy if we desire to do so.

Here’s my issue: I have a deep desire to build my business, help others and create wealth for myself and my family, but month after month, I make just enough to cover my expenses. What am I missing???

Neagle Code Answer

Hi and thanks for your question.

The answer is quite simple.

What you are missing is awareness.

Let me explain.

Each one of us has an internal “set point” that subconsciously governs our ability to make money.

This set point is based on the beliefs and values that we accepted prior to the age of 7.

I know it sounds crazy to think that information you accepted prior to the age of 7 would even be a factor in your ability to make money, but it is 100% true.

It keeps you on a never-ending teeter-totter between making just barely enough and not making enough.

One month you’ll make more than you need, and the next you’ll have to scramble to make sure everything (and everyone) gets paid.

Your set point was created out of your subconscious beliefs about wealth and poverty, and is

Controlled by
shame and guilt.

And here’s the thing…until you become aware of this invisible mechanism, you’ll have a difficult time hitting your financial goals.

You’ll think that you need to:

• Work harder and longer hours

• Hire more people

• Change your programs or pricing

• Learn a new strategy

• Get another degree, certification or training

• Change jobs, businesses or careers

And really you just need to understand the underlying mechanism that’s secretly pulling your strings like a puppet, so you can then make a conscious choice.

I get this question so often that I’ve decided to start this year with a BRAND NEW video training on this exact subject. I want to walk you through EXACTLY how to identify what’s controlling your ability to make the money you desire rather than “barely enough”.

Victim or Victor?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Heather B.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

Wattles tells us: “Use your present job or business to go to the one you like … act on your present environment to go to a better one.” But suppose someone is completely unemployed? What does he do? Suppose he was raised in a terrible neighborhood steeped in poverty and without opportunities? How does he act on it to get to a better environment?

Neagle Code Answer

Hi Heather and thanks for your question!

What Wattles, writes is absolutely true. He’s really referring to being your best in ANY situation, which then leads to an awareness of how your situation can change.

I think the main thing I am picking up from your question, is that somewhere “he” is looking at “his” current situation as a victim looks at a situation.

The truth is, no one is forced to do anything, and the “he” you are speaking of is the cause of creating the situation to begin with.

If a person feels they are forced to live in horrible conditions due to lack of money, it means that they are being a victim of their own life.

Spirit doesn’t give one person unlimited potential and then cap the potential of the guy sitting next to him.

When Wattles teaches to act on the present environment, he is teaching that we need to change who WE are or how WE are thinking so that we can see that we have a different choice that will lead us up and out.

A victim will only see what keeps him being a victim.

Instead of being a victim, one needs to be empowered. Instead of focusing on the negative, we must ask ourselves different questions.

Instead of feeling forced to live in substandard conditions, one must seek out the way to bring in the money, even if it’s to begin in a minimum wage job.

Each step and decision will lead to a new and better opportunity only if the person truly wants to change.

The Art of Success – Article #3 – Success Is Your Birthright

Success Is Your Birthright

Last time I told you that making three changes to my attitude tripled my income in less than 12 months. Those changes were:

1. I’m going to act as though I love what I’m doing.

2. I’m going to treat everybody with total respect.

3. I’m going to do every job to the best of my ability.

I tripled my income from $20,000 to $60,000, which was phenomenal at the time, but then I got stuck. I couldn’t manage to get to $80,000.

Then one day my mentor, Bob Proctor, asked me if I would like to turn my annual income of $60,000 into a monthly income?

Of course I would!

He said with full assurance, “You can do that.”

I had never considered that idea before, and the more I played with it, the more I realized that it might be possible for me, but I still didn’t know how it was going to happen.

Then one day he said, “It’s actually easier to earn $60,000 a month than it is to earn $60,000 a year.”

It was like he lit a candle in a dark room. In that moment I became aware of something that I was never aware of before: earning money is one of the easiest things in the world to do.

And because of that shift in my awareness, within 11 months again, I turned that annual income into my monthly income, and then soon thereafter took it to more than $100,000 a month.

Your Biggest Block Around Money Might Surprise You
If you are struggling to earn the income that you desire, you have to ask yourself why.

Quite likely, the reason is one I touched on in the first article of this series.

One of the biggest blocks that people have around money, business, relationships or anything they want is that they think they have to go out and get it because they don’t have it.

That idea keeps people working in the wrong place sometimes for their entire life.

As they look outward for what they want, struggle comes into the equation. Struggle without solution leads to frustration and loss of hope, and eventually to giving up.

I’ve said this before, and I’m going to say it again, the success that you want is not out there in some unattainable place, it’s inside you.

You can have, do or be anything you want.

In fact, for all practical purposes, human potential is infinite.

In order to grasp this concept, you need to understand the significance of what and who you are.

1. First and foremost, you are a spiritual being.
When you’re working with spirit and universal energy, you’re working with infinite potential. If you became aware of how to use that potential and the gifts it could bring, your mind would be absolutely blown.

2. You live in a physical body.
Very few of us are tapping into our infinite potential and putting it to practical use in our lives. You should be doing the things that you love to do, earning whatever amount of money you desire, and spending your time with people you love.

3. You are gifted with intellect.
Humans are the highest life form on Earth that we know about. You have the ability to think, reason, ask questions and evaluate.

4. You have emotions.
The way that you choose to think about things in your life governs your emotional state. Too often people are led around by their emotions. You want to bring order to your understanding, which will remove confusion, and then you can make new choices and do something different with your life.

Listen, success is your birthright.

Your life is meant to be abundant, prosperous, healthy, full of love and friends, and absolutely amazing.

It really is.

And it’s all in you waiting to be realized.

So let me light that candle in the dark spaces of your mind, so that you can begin to see how truly brilliant and worthy you are.

What is your life’s purpose? 3 questions to help you find it

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Miranda.

Neagle Code Question

I understand about purpose, do what you love and the money will follow, but I don't have a clue what I should be doing. How do I find my purpose?

Neagle Code Answer

Miranda,

Thank you for your great question.

Finding your purpose comes from knowing who you truly are and what you desire. Your purpose is already within you and it isn’t something you look for outside yourself.

I’m sure you’ve heard my story about my boating accident where I almost died after being sucked into a dam. Why is wealth still outside of my grasp, even though I am practicing the laws?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Greg T.

Neagle Code Question

David,

I read your posts on the Law of Vibration, and I still don’t think I’m getting it fully. It’s so interesting…I’m becoming so much more aware of the wealth around me, and I’m seeing representations everywhere, but all of it is outside my grasp. Meaning I see it, and I’m aware of it, but the number in my bank account is not changing.

PLEASE tell me what I’m misunderstanding!

Neagle Code Answer

Fantastic question Greg! Let me see if I can help.

FIRST:

Most people don’t know what wealth is.

You see positive or negative thoughts will put you into a positive or negative vibration and activate or trigger cells of recognition in the brain that are attached to earlier experiences.

If you’ve never experienced prosperity or wealth before, you have none of those cells of recognition.

Therefore, when you think positive thoughts of prosperity, the cells in your brain that you’re activating are actually what you have in your subconscious, which for most people are the physical appearance of the money itself and what they’ve had to do to get money, which is trading time for it. There are no cells of recognition for what actually causes wealth to come in.

And SECOND:

Most people focus on the effects of wealth.

You can use the Law of Vibration to increase your awareness of wealth and prosperity, which is what you’re experiencing.

If you practice positive thoughts about money and prosperity, you can become inspired and enthusiastic and build images of what you think wealth and prosperity look like.

You will then become aware of really cool cars on the street; you’ll notice nice houses that you never saw before. You’ll become more aware of wealthy people; you’ll hear people talking about money everywhere you go.

But you won’t actually be earning the wealth yourself.

That’s because you’re focusing on the effects of wealth, not its cause.

As I’ve explained, the Law of Vibration can make you more aware of money, but it does not cause the money to come in.

So what causes the money to come in?

I’ll be answering that question on a FREE teaching call that I have scheduled for March 27th at 3pm ET, titled The Universal Law of Vibration: The TRUTH About How to Attract What You Desire. I encourage you to click here for more details and add this class to your calendar ASAP!

What’s the difference between awareness and understanding?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Dillon M.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

I’ve heard you talk about awareness and understanding. Can you explain the difference between the two? I’m confused.

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

Absolutely!

All knowledge that ever was or will be is present now and always has been.

This means that when we lived in caves, the knowledge for creating the iPhone, the computer, the space shuttle and everything else that has been formed by human hands was there.

Likewise, the knowledge to invent things that will exist in the future is here right now as well.

What didn’t exist then, and doesn’t exist now for future inventions, is our awareness of that knowledge.

Awareness means we perceive the fact of something.

When we became aware of the knowledge related to creating the wheel, for instance, we were able to bring that into form.

Now, understanding is a different thing altogether.

Understanding involves comprehension, perspective, context and wisdom.

For instance, our ancestors gained awareness of the knowledge required to create the wheel, but they surely lacked the understanding of how that invention would revolutionize their way of life.

We lack understanding as well.

We lack understanding of the impact of our inventions, but more to the point, we lack the understanding of the Laws of the Universe.
