Why Doesn’t it Stick?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Bob.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I listen to so many things and I attend so many seminars and webinars. But why is it that nothing seems to stick? I don’t have the life-changing experiences in my thinking, my attitude, and my vibrations that I’m looking for.

Neagle Code Answer

This is something that I see way too often. People believe that studying, listening to someone, reading books, and attending seminars will magically change their lives.

But unfortunately, it’s not that easy.

It’s not enough to just take in all that knowledge. What you must do is change the way you think.

Until you change the habitual way that you think, nothing changes.

What does this mean in practice?

It means that you must take the principles you learn from all those sources and think about how you can apply them to your daily life.

Everything that you learn needs to be applicable to everything you do every single day.

But it’s not just about how you think about all those principles…

It’s about how you think through them while applying them in your daily life.

I know this from my own experience.

Back in the early 90s, I used to listen to a whole bunch of speakers talking about how to become wealthy.

But listening to them alone didn’t bring any change to my life.

It wasn’t until I started asking some crucial questions that things began to shift.

“How do I control and raise my income?”

“What does it take to make a sale and give my income a boost?”

Once I answered these questions, along with a few more, my income went from $50,000 per year to $50,000 per month.

It all comes down to cause and effect.

Change doesn’t happen on its own and you can’t expect to evolve by merely absorbing knowledge.

Take what you learn, apply it to your life in a concrete way, and you’ll start seeing changes.

Just Like Gravity

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Dear David,

What do you mean when you say that the Laws are always working? Don’t we have to work the Laws?

Thanks so much!

Neagle Code Answer

I’d be happy to answer that question!

You’re operating under the Laws of the Universe whether you’re conscious of them or not.

You can’t manifest anything in this world without application of every one of the Laws. And you’re manifesting every second of every day….all the good and all the bad.

That’s why they’re called the Laws of the Universe.

Nothing escapes them.

Consider the Law of Gravity. Anything that is heavier than air is pulled toward the center of the earth.

It does not matter if you’re a scientist and you understand exactly how gravity works, or if you’re completely ignorant of it.

If you fall, you’re still going down, because we’re all subject to that law.

It’s the same with the seven Laws of the Universe.

They are absolute.

And they make no exception for ignorance.

If you’re not aware of the Law of Gravity and you walk off the end of a building, a great big hand is not going to come out of the sky and grab you because you didn’t know you would fall.

Similarly, the Laws of the Universe don’t change just because you weren’t aware of them or because you had a good intention.

You’re either working WITH the Law or you’re working AGAINST the Law.

And you can tell by your results which is the case.

Either way the Laws are ALWAYS working!

I’m hosting a 2 Hour FREE workshop this Tuesday at 3pm ET. During that workshop I’m going to be sharing EXACTLY how you can work with the Laws to achieve business growth. I’m going to be applying the Laws specifically to your business and money making. CLICK HERE for all the info and mark your calendar to join me!!

Looking Back or Forward

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Adam.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

A couple of months ago, we executed some pretty bold moves and made some hires that we couldn’t really afford. We did it because we knew that it was the team that we needed to reach our goals.

As we’re now nearing these goals, I’m wondering whether I should stay focused on them. Or should I look backwards and figure out what caused the initial inadequate results?

Neagle Code Answer

The only time looking back makes sense is when you need to change what you’re doing.

It’s always a good idea to know your metrics and take a look at them. This way, you can see what’s not working and make the changes necessary to move forward.

What you never want to do is get caught up in regret and doubt over your initial decision.

As for everything else, you must look forward and shift your emotional center. You need to change your vibration enough to move to a different level of awareness.

What does this mean specifically?

You’ve hired your team and now you must make the money necessary to keep it. In this case, it’s got to become a must for you, rather than something you hope will happen.

Your thinking must change to address this. There’s no room for guesswork here – just a clear “must.”

Napoleon Hill talks about this in Think and Grow Rich.

When you make this shift, you get introduced to your other self. This is the side of you that’s capable of so much more and being more effective than you ever thought possible.

To reach this person, you need to make a decision. Again, it needs to become a must, not should.

So, yes, you should look back if what you see will help you move forward.

But remember to make that shift into what must be. That’s when you’ll see what you’re truly capable of.

Thinking Like a Millionaire

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

You say that you shouldn’t think from where you are. If you have $50,000 but want a million, you should be thinking from a million.

But what if you don’t know how millionaires think when you’ve only been in the $50,000 place? How do you think from a place you’ve never been?

Neagle Code Answer

What you should understand is that the world isn’t hiding any knowledge of the universe from you – it’s all out there somewhere.

There are plenty of books on how millionaires think, which you can use to figure out their mindset. If you want a recommendation, look no further than Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

In the book, you’ll find the 13 essential principles that you should follow. People might talk about some other principles, but almost all of them are derivatives of those 13.

But there’s another important thing about the book that I’d like to mention…

Napoleon Hill studied 500 wealthy people for the book. The big question is, where did their thought process come from?

The thing is, the world didn’t have many millionaires or billionaires prior to the industrial revolution. What is it that enabled their number to explode since then?

The answer lies in an invaluable concept known as the level of awareness, which is equivalent to the knowledge of the universe.

All the knowledge that ever was or ever will be is 100% present in all places at the same time.

Right now, your level of awareness revolves around the $50,000. That’s neither good nor bad – it just is. But that’s your starting position from which you can move up.

How?

It starts with your decision to hold a picture of a million in your mind, rather than a picture of $50,000. The moment you do that, you’ll increase your vibration and start attracting thoughts about how to create that million.

To do this, you must first let go of everything that binds you to the $50,000 level of awareness.

For instance, this level might tell you that it’s all about hard work and that it’s going to be difficult. In comparison, the $1 million level will show you that leverage is the primary value.

Until you let go of that hard work narrative, you won’t be able to open yourself up to the opportunities to create that leverage.

So, let go of everything of lower nature and start moving up the higher levels of awareness. One level at a time, and you’ll eventually reach that million.

From Scarcity to Abundance

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Susie.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

How do I shift out of a scarcity mindset around not having enough money to survive beyond a certain date?

Neagle Code Answer

It comes down to making a decision…

Will you follow the current reality you live in, or will you follow the laws of the universe?

For the latter, you should know that the laws of the universe always operate in abundance – there’s no room for scarcity here.

The issue with this is that not everyone gets to experience this abundance.

Here’s what I need you to understand;

Abundance is there for you, but it’s something that you need to grow into and become aware of to get the right to experience it.

At one point in my life, I was broke and my world was falling apart. And the moment all of that changed was when I made a conscious decision to no longer follow the principles that got me there.

I had no proof that the other principles were real in my life. But I could see that other people were living by them. And when I looked at their life, I found out that those principles were real.

My goal was to follow those principles until they became real in my life as well.

And so they did.

When you make the same decision, you raise your awareness of what you know is here. More importantly, you move up in reality and never feel those lower levels again.

Think about it…

Can you trick yourself into believing that you can’t walk?

Of course not!

That’s because walking is a part of your current reality. Unless something physically prevents you from doing it, you can’t un-remember how to do it.

Abundance works the same way.

Once you get to a million dollars, you don’t un-remember how you got there – it becomes a part of who you are.

Understanding this is a necessary part of growth. You’ll be developing your mind to work for you and not against you.

The Best Place to Start

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I literally just found you and have started listening to your podcast. You quote SO many books and resources, but what do you believe is the single best place to start studying if I’m new to the “personal development” world?

Neagle Code Answer

I get this question all the time and LOVE answering it!

I will give you a list of the books that I’ve found most helpful to my growth and the growth of my students.

If someone were to ask me what book has been the most influential in my life, I would say it is The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. I still remember the day I picked it up and read it, and I can honestly say, since that day over 20 years ago, I’ve never travelled or taught without it.

It’s a book that explained so much for me, and even now, I can open any page, at any time and see the truth in its pages. It appears to be a short simple book, but actually I’ve found that there are hidden “secrets” that most people miss.

I’m going to be sharing those secrets in a free training I’m hosting on Tuesday. If you’ve read it several times, or even if you’ve never picked the book up before, I invite you to join me.

If you’re interested, CLICK HERE.

The other books I’d recommend are:

  • You2
    – by Price Pritchett
  • God Works Through Faith
    – by Robert A. Russell
  • The Four Agreements
    – by Don Miguel Ruiz
  • Think & Grow Rich
    – by Napoleon Hill
  • Working With The Law
    – by Raymond Holliwell

Before you go blasting through each of these books to check them off your list, I suggest that you “STUDY” them. Go slow and take them chapter by chapter.

Each one of them contains pure gold.

And once again, if you’d like to begin your book study with me, click here to register for my upcoming free training!

Marketing 101: Learn how to best influence and attract more clients

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I need to start reaching out to more to clients. What is the best way to do that to influence and attract clients so that they are receptive?

Neagle Code Answer

In order to reach out to and engage with more clients, you first need to find out what they need.

Find a way to help them and then speak that to them.

You can’t just throw information YOU THINK they'd be interested in on various different platforms.

You need to offer information that is TARGETED to your audience … pieces of marketing that speak to exactly what they need at the moment.

That's what will catch their attention.

That's what you have to find out, and that's where you have to do research. What are your audience’s needs or their pain points?

Every company that's worth their salt is doing tons of research to find out what their client needs and then they enter the conversation that the client is currently having in their own head based on the problems and needs that are experiencing right now.

Then start putting out high value content on the platform that best suits your ideal client or send them information that speaks directly to solving their problem, and you'll naturally attract them.

They will immediately know that you both understand their needs and that you can help them.

Why you don’t need to work 24/7 for success

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I would consider myself a hard worker…do I need to work 24/7 in order to experience the success I want?

Neagle Code Answer

Great question.

I firmly believe that we get to create our life exactly how we want it to be. If we're not enjoying it, it's our own fault.

There is absolutely no reason to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week, but what you do need to do is make sure when you ARE working, you're 100% focused on the enjoyment of the process of your work because that will make all the difference in the world.

Why do you have this intense pressure to get to this certain point in your business?

Is it fear driven or desire driven.

My guess is that it’s fear driven.

And here is the truth…

There's nothing that magically changes when you hit a goal because you still have to keep growing. It's not like, “Oh, I got there,” and everything changes. It doesn't. The only thing that changes is the knowledge of your ability to do what needs to be done.

Most people look at success as a destination, and they want to “just get there”…but success is a journey that never stops.

In my mind, you might as well enjoy the hell out of the journey!

Time Management And Goal Setting … How Do They Relate?

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I’ve heard you say that there is no time. What does that mean exactly, and how does time tie into the big picture in massive goal setting?

Neagle Code Answer

Fantastic question! I know this can be a confusing concept.

We all have the same amount of this illusion that we call time.

As human beings, we break time down into days. We have a 24-hour measuring system that we use, but what do we use time for?

We use it to manage our life.

You also cannot have time without space or space without time.

The moment you start to focus on time, like on your calendar or in setting your goal, you bring space into the picture.

The question is what are you going to fill the space with?

Northcote Parkinson has a law that says that work tends to fill the time allotted.

In other words, if we shorten the timeframe on almost any kind of work, we will get it done in a shorter timeframe than we originally thought that we could.

When I'm going to set a goal, I am going to pick a timeframe, but the question then is, “How do I know if that timeframe is correct?”

I don't.

If I don't reach the goal, I don’t change the goal. I only change the timeframe in which we're doing it.

One of the things that's important to understand is that things can happen much quicker than we think they can.

Think about how can we remove the time barrier and actually make something happen quicker.

Sometimes we can, sometimes we can't.

For thousands of years it took a certain amount of time to get from one place to the other because we couldn't fly, but once we understood how to do that, we certainly filled the time barrier from one place to another.

So, time is not set in stone as far as a measurement of what’s possible.

Time is really just a matter of perception.

I Derail Myself

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from Paul.

Neagle Code Question

I'm clear enough on my desires (to not be overweight and poor), but I'll start taking action, and as soon as I notice results starting to come into my life, I allow myself to get badly derailed. It's almost like paralysis sets in and I stop. Have you seen this before, and how the hell do I beat this?

Neagle Code Answer

Yeah, I have.

Every person has to overcome the part of their subconscious mind that wants them to stay the same.

The moment you start to do something different, especially if you're producing different results, it’s going to send a trigger up to your subconscious mind. And it will engage whatever story it has in order to keep you safe.

In what way do these new results threaten something either imaginary or real in your life?

The idea is that you need to integrate the new you with your new behavior.

You need to build a vision of yourself making the amount of money that you want to make and being in your ideal body.

You need to hold on to that vision, and get excited about that vision every day until your mind begins to accept the new you.

Now when you create this new image or the suggestion of a new image, which is you being healthy and wealthy, it's totally contradicting the image that your subconscious mind knows of you that it believes keeps you safe.

As you're taking the new action and getting the new result you have to build a new image in your mind of exactly how you want to be.

And then you need to incorporate that into everything that you do in your day-to-day in your life.

SEE YOURSELF AS HAPPY, HEALTHY, WEALTHY enjoying yourself as the new person you want to become.
