What got me “unstuck”

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David,

I have a goal that I’m excited about. I can see it in my mind, but when I begin to take action, or even think about taking action, I go into doubt. What is this and how can I push past this limiting belief?

THANKS!!

Neagle Code Answer

Great question!

Often when we want to achieve a goal, we focus on the wrong thing.

We focus on the “how” — “How am I going to do it?” — instead of doing the work required to achieve the actual thing.

We look for all the reasons why we can’t do it. We ask questions that don’t help us or move us forward. Or we become focused on what we’re going to “get.”

What we don’t realize is that part of what is controlling our thinking is the idea that, I can’t do it.

This belief has complete dominance over our thinking. It’s our subconscious mind’s way of keeping us stuck, asking questions that aren’t helpful, and never reaching the goal.

The idea itself causes us to focus on the wrong things.

It makes us psychologically look for an answer that doesn’t exist. The idea “I can’t do it” holds us back in paralysis mode…where we ask questions that actually keep us stuck (questions such as, “How do I do it?”)

Years ago when I got sucked through a dam, I was hanging from a tree branch, reflecting on my life.

In that moment, I realized I’d been doing exactly that — I had been letting the idea of “I can’t do it” control my thinking and my life. It ruled nearly everything I did (and didn’t do).

At that point, I didn’t even want much. I just wanted to make enough money to pay my bills and not live in a bad neighborhood.

But part of me believed I couldn’t do any of that. Part of me believed I couldn’t succeed or reach my goal.

I kept looking for an answer that didn’t exist. I thought I needed “something else” in order to make more money…when really, I needed to change my belief about myself.

Begin thinking about how you CAN…make a list…be creative…and open yourself to see opportunities that are around you right now!

You better BELIEVE it!

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

David you talk about belief in all of your teachings. Can you explain how belief works in helping me create what I want? I mean, if I don’t have the belief, how can anything change for me?

Neagle Code Answer

Absolutely!

Beliefs are powerful, and they can be used to create the life of your dreams, or keep you a prisoner in a life you never wanted.

Throughout history, people have created marvelous things…but all of these creations had to take place in the mind first. It had to start off as a fantasy.

Do you allow yourself to fantasize about what you REALLY want?

Or do you allow the voices in your head to shut you down?

To create something you must get emotionally involved in it, and believe in that idea for it to become a reality.

But unfortunately if we are not aware, we are controlled by the beliefs that were given to us by the people who raised us, and those voices end up telling us to:

• Keep quiet
• Stay safe
• Fit in
• Be nice

instead of encouraging us to break the mold and create our own life.

And if we don’t know that’s what’s controlling our results, we are powerless to change any of it.

So tell me, what’s the truth about what you want to create for yourself?
Is it taking away anyone else’s right to choose?
Is it unethical or breaking any laws?
Is it something you truly desire for yourself?

Choose to believe in your desires and opportunity WILL show up. It MUST.

Most of us are carrying around all kinds of beliefs that are keeping us from where we want to go, which is why I’m hosting a free training next week designed to help you Stop Playing Small and Create an Extraordinary Life. It’s the perfect shot in the arm you could use to really jumpstart 2019.

The Power of Gratitude

This week's question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Neagle Code Question

Hi David!

I’m getting ready for the Thanksgiving Holiday and am reflecting on all the things I am thankful for. I remembered you did a teaching a year or so ago on the power of gratitude, and while I know it’s “good” to be grateful (my mom taught me that), can you explain why you had said it’s so powerful?

Neagle Code Answer

Great question, and I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!!

Gratitude is THE one emotion that we experience, and can cause ourselves to experience through practice, that keeps us directly connected to our source of supply in life.

It not only makes us feel good about the blessings we all have in our lives, but can and should be practiced in advance of receiving something we desire.

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about…

Think of something you’d like to

create, have or experience.

Now fill in the blank below.

“I’m so happy and grateful now that I have/am/experiencing _____________________.”

Then allow yourself to feel the emotion of that gratitude as if you’ve already received your desire.

Feel it in your body, and believe that it is happening right now.

Doing this we also combine Gratitude with Faith and Belief that the things and good we desire will come to us.

It demonstrates positive creative expectancy, and when we do that, we can create anything we truly desire in life.

And here’s the great part… don’t just practice gratitude around the holidays.

Make it a daily practice.

Everyday write down 3 things you are grateful for…even if you’re not feeling very grateful for anything, and just see the miracles you’ll create in your life!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

[5 Simple Steps to Unshakeable Self-Confidence Series] Article #9 ~ How to Create Lasting Change

This series is showing you how to create a new, unwavering belief in yourself.

That way, you’ll pursue your own vision of happiness, and not waste time doing things because other people say you should. You’ll know what you want and go after it.

We got that ball rolling in Steps 1 and 2, when I had you determine the thought, belief or story that was keeping you from seeing the results you want, and then replace that thought with one based in Universal Law.

In Step 3 and 4, you’re going to start creating real change in your life, but in order to do so you have to understand the foundation for why your efforts can be so successful.

How Beliefs Are Formed
Your subconscious does its best to keep you right where you are. It’s designed to carry out programming, and it does that job very well.

Who controls the programming of your subconscious?

You do, with your ability to accept or reject an idea.

However, you don’t develop that ability to reason until about age seven. Until then, without realizing it, you simply absorb the beliefs of your guardians, teachers, and others around you.

By the time you become aware of your consciousness, you are already seeing through a filter of your programming, and you don’t even realize it.

The problem is compounded because your programming creates your reality, the situations and circumstances in your life, and then you react to those circumstances in the way that you’re programmed to do, and, thus, perpetuate the cycle.

In addition, since you’re trained to experience life with your five senses, you likely perceive that everything that is happening around you is not only real, but fixed.

You probably say things like, “This is the way that it is. This is my experience. This is reality,” when, in fact, it’s just what you’re creating in the moment.

Are you beginning to understand why you might be stuck?

How, try as you might, on certain issues, you just haven’t been able to make any headway?

Your New Reality
Now, the good news is that you can change your subconscious through experience.

If you give yourself a different experience, by taking action, your subconscious has to accept it, and then you form a new belief and start to create a new reality from there.

Your subconscious starts generating results based on your new belief, and your self-confidence grows.

For example, I had a student who literally changed her life by flying first-class to Europe. That experience emboldened her so much, that over the next two years, she transitioned out of her old business, which she’d built because it was “safe,” and created a new business of her dreams.

She is now so much more confident, that she’s hardly recognizable to family and old friends.

Her experience is far from unique.

As you grow in confidence, you start taking bigger actions, which create bigger and better results.

And before you know it, you’re trusting yourself implicitly, and your life has truly changed.

[5 Pillars of Influence Article Series] Article #3 ~ How To Influence Yourself

If you want to influence others to buy your products and programs, you must first influence yourself.

I’ve been telling you that for a few weeks, and now I’m going to show you how.

1. Get Real

The first step to influencing yourself is to get real. You need to be honest with yourself about the ideological prison that you’re in, so that you can influence your ideal prospects to get out of theirs.

For instance, do you believe in abundance or do you believe in lack? Do you believe that if you have the desire, the way to meet that desire is in your life right now? Or are you telling yourself what you can’t afford? Or why you can’t have what you want?

Negative beliefs like these steal thousands from your bottom line every year. They repel high-paying clients and blind you to the opportunities that are all around you.

Fortunately, you can change your beliefs, and, as I said, the first step to that is acknowledging the prison bars that they’ve created for you.

2. Talk to Yourself

Your spouse, business, children or pets all require your attention and have an impact on you emotionally. If you immediately move from interacting with problems or issues to jumping on the phone, you will surely carry reaction energy into your sales call.

If you remember, “reaction energy” is most people’s primary mode, where they just react to whatever is going on. If you carry that energy into a sales call, you have a tendency to use force as a tool. You may reveal too much to your prospects or want to be right or try to make them wrong. Whatever you do, you’re not in your power.

That’s why every sales conversation needs to begin with a conversation with yourself.

Spend 10 minutes before every sales call, asking yourself questions like these:

“What is the desired outcome of this call?”

“What energy state do I need to be in, in order to be influential when I’m on the call?”

“How will I help this person get out of his/her prison?”

“How am I going to influence him/her?”

In those 10 minutes you can totally shift to a place of “influence energy,” which means that you sit in your power with the highest good of your prospects in mind, and direct your conversations in a way that lets the prospects influence ~ and sell ~ themselves.

3. Gain Knowledge

The third key to becoming your own power of influence is to gain knowledge at the level that you want to be, not where you are.

Be willing to stretch your mind and travel to events. If you won’t invest in trainings for yourself, how can you expect your clients to invest in yours?

If, instead, you know in your gut the value of reaching for where you want to be, as opposed to where you are, you can persuasively demonstrate that value when your prospects are huddled in the dank corner of their prisons, afraid to face their fears.

It’s Not Difficult to Do

Becoming your own power of influence is not rocket science, but it is just as transformative for you.

By incorporating these simple mindset shifts, you can totally change your results.
You can empower yourself to impact other people’s lives for the good, while boosting your own income to the stars.
